Never heard of him, but he sure sounds like a dickhead.

The fact that she was drunk is completely irrelevant.

If someone is drunk & naked, it is not an invitation to be raped.

Why do so many people have trouble understanding this?

It's not an invitation. Nor is it a refusal.

JUST BECAUSE you are an unconscious drunk doesn't mean you can be raped. But JUST BECAUSE you are an unconscious drunk doesn't mean that you have no responsibility for what happens to you.

Get pissed, climb into the lion enclosure and blame the lions if they kill you.

Women now seem to demand that everyone else take responsibility for the consequences of their own irresponsibilities.

That's  not right.

she wasnt naked when she walked into that office of her own free will......she wasnt dragged into that building  she chose to go with this person..... every day in our lives we take RISKS of every kind..

she admitted  this person fed her alcohol all evening but again she drank it of her own free will until she was very drunk.  she then elects to cab share with this same person.and go on a detour...

of course she didnt ask to be raped....but she was taking an awful risk that put her in a lot of danger of that happening.....

Maybe she expected better of her colleague?

She thought he was just going to collect something. I strongly doubt she thought in her wildest dreams that it would be even remotely likely that he would rape her inside a minister's office. I don;t think it's fair to say she put herself in harm's way.

As to Frank's comments (sorry, can't quote either of the last two posts) ... about what i'd expect from him. Reprehensible still, but expected.

Well, he is a shock jock.... that's what he was paid for, and will be paid for again.

And if he spoke against men we'd be subjected to pages upon pages of you venting your verbose spleen over it.

Which is what you rail against relentlessly in here, although your accusations of wrongdoing are simply on the other side.

And like Jeremy Cordeaux, you're dying out.

As usual - a totally absurd statement - it would depend entirely on what he said - as for my position re Cordeaux - scarcely ever heard of him, couldn't care less - he's a shock jock.

Now if he came out and said that this shows that all men are raging rapists - yes - I would want him hung from Sydney City Hall... outside Cloven-hoof's window.

You're being silly again, mothra... take a deep breath and try again. Facts are not verbose spleen... I have no spleen in the game - I merely refute nonsense.

Everybody would expect better from his type - but then, everybody has learned to expect the worst.

Rule 12:- Never go into that office alone at 1.50am with a male colleague.

If he was just going to collect something - why was there any reason for security to check her in at all?  Apart from the old 'wink, wink -- nudge, nudge', of course?

That was a red flag instantly to anyone with the nous.

There's the rub ..... and again the time used and his lone departure should have set off alarm bells.

Only ever heard the name - never give credence to the utterances of shock jocks, and dismissed him immediately as of no consequence...

No need to harbour dark thoughts well into the small hours over it, especially with far more important issues at hand.

Nah then - where IS the alleged perp?

What does he have to say?

When will Reynolds speak on the 'lying cow' statement instead of staying quiet and allowing it to fester?

That's why it's Rule # 12..... start with the basic and establish a Bill of Wrongs To Avoid.
