A little more raw meat for the peanut gallery:-

When she said she 'felt' her career was on the line with Reynolds (god have mercy - mea culpa - I was only defending truth, not the woman Reynolds) - that is the now legal equivalent of 'turning on the water works', brought to you courtesy of Paul Keating when he gun-pointed the states to introduce 'uniform domestic and apprehended violence laws'* - which we all know by now rely on 'the water works' and not on facts for its violence against men and the community by government agencies.

Saying she felt that is not supported by the facts as laid out - she was offered her position until its contracted finish - or another position on Reynold's staff.

This is clearly turning on the equivalent of the 'water works' to 'win' in an untenable situation.

Also - what is the evidence that anyone was sniping at her boyfriend?  The news post I read said she 'felt' it was the case... here we go again.

Sorry 'bout that.

*Keating did this one - he offered the states the choice of installing 'uniform DV/AV "laws" or having their funding reduced.... cheguebook gangsterism.  I guess most of you missed that one....

Our politicians overall are a set of lunatics.  ADDS:-  You see that clearly in Canberra right now - politicians and their staff - and yet when these very same lunatics make a 'law' that will enable instant conviction and incarceration on accusation by a woman - you will all applaud it since it is such a good thing for the Brittany Higgins' of the world.

Bizarre - frankly bizarre. It seems they are only lunatics when they are not on your side.......

So lay out the timeline for us, consigliere... it's all been posted time and again.

Here:-
1.50 am - the pair are admitted to the building.  To be signed in and escorted to the office - let's say ten minutes (low estimate).  Ms Higgins lies down.... says she woke up 'partly naked with him on top of her".

2.35 am - the man leaves alone.

4.20 am -  nearly two hours later security checks on her welfare (good thing she was all right, eh?).  Check is very superficial, but guard notices Ms Higgins was 'completely naked'.  Guard assumes she is 'sleeping off her night'.

7.00 am - no sign of Ms Higgins at the security entrance.  A second female guard is sent to check on her well-being, calls out to her through the closed door.

10.00 am - Ms Higgins takes an Uber home.

That's the name of the game, cods, just keep going round and round like a schizophrenic until the jury is so confused they don't know what they are thinking apart from - "I'm getting a headache".

Funny how the same person who stoutly defends the woman involved on the false assumption that anyone seeking to get to the facts is 'persecuting' her or whatever - and stand firmly by her 'being right' about her claims of being 'partly naked with him on top of her' - yet when that same person seeking information says that given the time available and the difficulty in removing every item of clothing from a person lying on a couch, it was MOST LIKELY HE LIFTED HER SKIRT AND REMOVED HER PANTIES - that person is just speculating and thus has no merit.

Just endless twisting and turning until people are given a headache, instead of just getting to the point...

Pretending there was some 'time limit' is absurd and has nothing to do with anything other than to try to discredit someone who says he most likely lifted her skirt and removed her panties - the time AVAILABLE is clearly on record.  It's not a football game in which you have limited time to score.

Nobody said he 'had a time limit' - just that within the ACTUAL time he was most likely to....... do what the complainant says.....   Cool

It's taken two days to get that far.... the court would long ago have ordered him to move on.

and yet this woman waits 2 years before complaining, knowing full well this "sickening bastard' may strike again because she is worried about her "career

thats what has puzzled me   why didnt she charge him??? she reports it then withdraws it...and now the world the govt is expected to dwell on her wellbeing  and even the PM is expected to stop worrying about covids.floods.China to dwell on something that could have been dealt with in 2019....  and as you say aqua   maybe prebvented him from doing any more damage to other females.. or maybe this concerned women didnt think about that????.....

she accompanied this person   who was already well known to the staff....in to a Building at 2am  dressed in evening attire....without the pass.....she wasnt dragged kicking and screaming     she didnt apparently scream when she woke up when it was happening.... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes...we dont know what happened when she was found at 7am next morning according to security naked in the ministers office.........did she tell security she had been raped?  was she taken to hospital?..

as Matt Damon tried to point out,

there is a difference in how we should react to a guy who slaps a woman on the bum and a guy who puts on a ski mask, holds a knife to a womans throat and brutally rapes her.

matt had to take down that tweet and apologise to the mob who wanted him cancelled for daring to try to point out the variation in sexual assault.

this case reflects a selfish guy who couldnt control himself.

does he deserve the same punishment as the guy in the ski mask?

doubtful

Can't go against the mob, you know... they feel Entitled™ to demand that the PM come out and front them when they are outside protesting so they can scream at him and pick holes in anything he might say over a Single Issue that has not one thing to do with their inane screeching about 'equality' and so forth... it's a legal issue pure and simple, already covered by law and practice of law, and has nothing to do with anything else, and certainly does not validate all of their remote other claims.

Mob mentality...

How Dare They??

I read where a women who  was not raped but claimed rape because he invaded her space...... I also remember during the Bill Cosby case  where they were coming from all directions a women said he kissed her against her wishes.....I am so confused   we throw words around until they lose their  real meaning....

Spoken like a true anti-feminist, cods - welcome to the Good Side.  What you laid out there is the game plan - to make all words mean the same when someone is having a whine, so that all power and control passes to that person regardless of all facts and realities, and thus, by steady accumulation, all power will be handed over those who whine - the Usual Suspects.

Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Never heard of him, but he sure sounds like a dickhead.

The fact that she was drunk is completely irrelevant.

If someone is drunk & naked, it is not an invitation to be raped.

Why do so many people have trouble understanding this?
