Idiot, once again.

As if they had to take the water to China to take advantage of rules.

Nobody can be as stupid as you pretend to be, Bwian, you are malicious, an enemy of Australia, an agent of foreign commie influences. You are an 'anti-capitalist= idiot' so your toxic, idiotic, mindless agitation is well documented.

Toxic idiot and enemy - that's you, Bwian.

They TRADE in it - the profit goes offshore and tax is buried deep so that none is paid.

It's a rort pure and simple.. and it is blatant removal from this nation of money that should rightfully remain here, as well as control over a necessity of economic and social life, for the simple reason that purchasing of 'rights' can be used to cut out any and all opposition, thus handing total power to an oligarchy that does not even live here and does not rely on the production from that resource for food and trade.

Governments need to wake up and stop their silly 'private enterprise model' nonsense, as being more efficient, and get with the realities... by creating these costly ventures they are actually contributing to rises in costs of living and thus of inflation caused by the accelerating inability of the common dollar to go the distance to meet costs of living, which in turn creates a demand for upward wage rises and a steadily diminishing opportunity of the common person to keep up, and thus to a reduction in standards of living.

It's called INFLATION, whichever way you cook it, and it is out of control here.

Now what kind of god-damned more-on would sign up to a deal like that?

Do Australian companies have any water trading 'rights' in the Yangtse and thus in the power generating plants along it?

Try it some time..... let's put in a bid for water used by Chinese rice farmers, as a commodity to be bought and sold and incapable of being utilised unless bought, thus cutting out Chinese rice farmers who cannot afford to compete in a rapidly escalating market, and then we trade in it as a commodity going to the highest bidder thus causing further rises and further cutting out primary producers in China ... see how far you get.

One of them will hoe you to death... Hoe, Hoe, Hoe!

Some of you are abjectly dumb.

Is this the Qld Southern Downs water bottling plant at a resort?
"One person on the council, deputy mayor Jo McNally, said they knew of several property owners pumping water from the ground to sell commercially elsewhere, but there was little they could do. “This is happening all over the region and here we are singling out one landowner,” she said."

Nice work when you can get it, sell them our water so they can sell it back to us without having to do a thing, they won't even have to come here and turn a tap on or off, a guaranteed income and if later down the track they decide they want more money to buy one of our utilities or whatever they will just put the price of our water up.

Short sighted politicians selling us out to the Chinese real fast.

It's bad enough when they buy Mt Kosciusko and pinch all the snow but rumour has it they bought the Harbour Bridge with first rights on the Opera House.

You are an ignorant, ridiculous fool, Bwian and an enemy of Australia.

You ALWAYS side with whoever is undermining Australia, politically, economically, culturally. You have never once posted anything FOR Australia, you ALWAYS side with Australia's enemies - BECAUSE you are one.

And all that because the nuns smacked your stupid, recalcitrant arse as a wee 10 year old Bolshie. You have never grown out of that, even now that you piss-soaked old mad aunt.

Why don't you order an online counselling degree? Or a doctorate in fvkwittery - you should qualify for multiple awards of that just on the basis of the crap you have been posting here. Doktor Fvkwit - Ozpolitic Publicatons. Automatic.

Er... they are not, actually.

Australia is a European designation. What did Aborigines call themselves before 1788? Not Australians.

So they are not even entitled to be called Australian in your view?
I don't think you're Australian enough yourself Frank (sounds french) to make that pedantic point.

That is precisely what is wrong with water trading - if the buyer doesn't use it, it goes to the sea - and those who can't compete - the family farmers along the Murray etc - go to the wall when the water is flowing right past them.

It's a scheme designed to earn unearned profit for those on 'the inside' - again, who can just buy up 'licences', never use the water for growing anything, and then sell on at a profit to the next sucker, or sometimes even to the poor farmer who just went into mega-debt to 'buy' water 'rights' so his cattle and wheat could drink, and he might make it to next year by actually trying to produce something for the market - but he runs all the risks and the water buyers none.

Absolutely stinks to high heaven.

I'm amazed the farmers aren't literally up in arms.

Aborigines are de facto citizens of Australia since they got the vote... they have all other rights as a birthright, so there is no argument that they are Australian citizens.  White Man's cunning that was - forcing citizenship on them.....  Grin Grin  Grin

They are always welcome to repudiate their citizenship and head off to somewhere more amenable to their ideas ....  Grin

Ugh.. Here you go again Brian, your first sentence starts fine and then you sink in some of the same stuff you pay out on. Why do you like to pay out on your fellow Australians? Why do you so enjoy playing in the mud you accuse others of enjoying so much?

Was it the priest then, not the nuns? Is that why you are so butt hurt? It's good your mummy stuck up for you and the nuns. You may have turned out worse than the bed wetter you are.

Anyway, tsk tsk and pip pip.
