So....let's move on to something completely disgusting.  The guy is acquitted....found 'not guilty', and then has been stalked by the schmedia pricks, all looking to out him somewhere.  Even to the extent of having a helicopter track the car he was in for over an hour.  Disgraceful.

Arseholes.  The guy is innocent. Far cough schmedia.

He may be innocent in this case.

But he is not innocent of decades of deliberately covering up for paedophile priests, shifting them around & allowing them to continue to molest young children in new locations.

He deserves to be jailed for those actions .... as does anyone of similar stature in the Church who has done the same in the past.

When was he charged and convicted of those crimes?

Did I say he had?

I said he should be

Don't be a f*#kwit.

So how can you say he's guilty?

He was in charge of moving them ... & sometimes same priest more than once because of complaints from parents.

All swept under the carpet.

cease being such a twerp.

This all came out in court, did it?

You're definitely thick.

Because he was in charge ... he knew ... he kept the silence ...

& followed church procedure of deny & stay silent.

That's merely an assumption.

Piss off law boy.
Shove your court system where the sun don't shine.

No court evidence?

Okay, we can get past that I suppose.

Can you just show your proof, and cite a reference then?

Cheers   Wink

I've given you plenty of references.

I was listening to the interview with a Shine Laywer and she said that there will be a civil case now, even if against the church itself.

I wonder, these past 3 years with this case, how much it was, who pays, and will Pell want compensation since he has now walked free of guilt?

Here's an opinion on that I read today - just an ordinary persons comments.

Quote:
he is not exonerated nor proven innocent. The proceedings related to a mistake by prosecution at law, not guilt. Subsequently he was let off, the conviction quashed.

John Smith wrote on Apr 7th, 2020 at 5:03pm:
Nothing straw man about it. My argument has always been he should be in jail for decades of covering up abuse. I said that from my very first post. You were the one who thinks he being innocent of this charge of kiddy fiddling also means he is innocent of covering up abuse.

He was not on trial for covering up abuse. Please  understand how the legal system works before commenting further.

Smith knows that ... as do I.

The inference is that he "should" be ....in strife for all the covering up & facilitating abuse of more & more children as these paedo priests were moved around.

He's innocent.

Having you been paying attention?

Was he proven innocent or was the decision made on a technicality of law & a failure in the prosecutions case? Leaving no option but to dismiss/quash the decision?

I don't recall reading anything about innocence.

He [Pell] was rightfully,        presumed to be innocent, in the absence of any evidence to the contrary.

If [substantive] evidence of Pell's guilt had been presented in court, the High Court appeal would have failed.

ARGUMENT;
No one [no reasonable person] can ask more than that.

presume = = suppose that something is the case on the basis of probability.       take for granted.

absence = =
1 the state of being away from a place or person.
2 (absence of) the non-existence or lack of.

Their should be a law against one vindictive person being able throw another person behind bars on hearsay,, no evidence, no motive, no prior convictions, no nothing.

Now that Pell has been proven innocent it stands to reason the vindictive one has to be guilty of bullshitting in a court of law, now throw him in solitary confinement with no natural light given only bread and water for the rest of his natural life to teach him a lesson.

I would believe the victim before I ever took the word of a pedophile enabler like Pell....The credibility of the Church is in tatters and still there are those who believe this lying bunch of ass holes are the one's who have been unjustly treated....The Catholic Church has a history of protecting the guilty and persecuting the innocent whilst hiding behind the cloak of secrecy to defend the Church at any cost....Lying untrustworthy and corrupt to the core!!!

I dont mean to defend him but can you imagine what would have happened - back in the 70s and 80s if he had tried to violate the catholic thing and come forward? What could he (or any other priest) do?

Yeah imo those ppl shouldn't have been moved but kicked out. He may not have had that power back then though.

Yes, they should have been kicked out. I'm not sure what powers the administrator for the Ballarat district had back then?

There are other accusations about Pell and he is reported to have made "jokes" about priests buggering boys ... not a very nice person.

By whom?

I can't find the exact quote but it was in relation to Risdale I think ... where Pell was accused of saying : "What? has he been buggering boys again?" or words to that effect.

Might have been a piece referenced by David Marr?

I'll try to find the reference ...

What you mean is, that Pell was most probably 'verballed', by David Marr.

Yes ?
