Was it?  Really?  Funny, I remember Government ministers of either variety making announcements about Immigration, Bobby.  I also remember ocean liners docking in Australian Harbours around the continent to offload their latest load of New Australians.  I also seem to remember the occasional airliner passenger being a New Australian as well.  Did you have your head buried in your Bible?  Tsk, tsk.  Roll Eyes

We were never told that millions of them would be brought here.

And that nothing would be done when they committed heinous crimes against us Sad

The cops have caught 1000s of them but
they get let out - back on the streets.

We were told that we needed to "populate or perish," Bobby and unless millions moved here, we weren't going to be populating very fast, now were we?  Roll Eyes

Did Arthur Calwell mention millions of Sudanese, Somalians, Pakis , Indians and Muslims?

Quote:
'Populate or perish' was a rallying cry of post-World War II Labor Immigration Minister Arthur Calwell as he sought to overcome domestic resistance to immigration. For Calwell, immigration was the key to quickly boosting Australia's population numbers in the interests of economic and military security.

Cop this one:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7724763/An-aggressive-asylum-seeker-acc...

'Aggressive' asylum seeker accused of repeatedly trying to start a relationship with a girl, 13, is given medevac transfer to Australia

The man, believed to be in his 30s, is one of hundreds of migrants on Nauru
He is accused of 10 violent incidents as well as harassing a teenage girl
The unnamed man will now come to Australia after being assessed by doctors.

Ah.  Accused.

"Donald Trump has not only been accused of rape and sexual misconduct by more than 20 women over the past several decades, but he regularly uses his power to threaten survivors who come forward and to protect and promote men who abuse women."

"And Trump's connections to Epstein's sex trafficking may go beyond merely superficial. In 2016, “Jane Doe” filed a lawsuit against Trump alleging a “savage sexual attack” in 1994, when she was 13 years old, in which he tied her to a bed at Epstein’s house, raped her, and struck her in the face. The account was corroborated by a witness who claimed to have seen the child perform sexual acts on both Trump and Epstein."

So Bobby, is the unnamed man who might be in his 30s guilty?

If so, is Trump guilty too?

They've both been accused.

Or, do you only assume people you don't like are guilty when they're accused of something, and the people you do like who are accused of something are always innocent?

I'm curious.

We were told we'd perish but it was all bullshit, we were never going to perish without immigrants after WW2

We still had a viable economy and only just three years after the war workers could buy a brand new FX holden if they wanted one, thousands sold. Pubs were doing a roaring trade and "Australians were never as short of food nor rationed as heavily as civilians in the United Kingdom."

Strong wool and wheat sales in the years immediately following World War II were due to the rapid increase in demand for these commodities as part of post-war reconstruction

Saying we would perish was politicians just talking deceptive crap, they should have been jailed for treason

No, you gotta blame every PM after Billygoat McMahon for that. Calwell brought in hard working Europeans who knew which side their bread was buttered on. They worked on the Snowy Mountain scheme and other public works. Nearly all of them sent most of their wages back to the old country. I watched Snowy Scheme workers lined up at makeshift bank teller desks on site. I had to laugh, the bank teller would tell workers "You can't send that much, you can only send the allowed amount". A lot of money went out of Australia from that Scheme, the Govt had to put restrictions on it. It went on for years, tens of millions was lost to overseas

There was domestic resistance, but undemocratic traitor Calwell went ahead with it anyway. We have no say in the immigration policy, it's settled science

Write a letter to the immigration minister about African darkies invading, slashing, bashing, thieving and carjacking, and see what answer you get. You'll get a standard "Get stuffed and mind your own business"

The question is -

why didn't any politicians say during election
campaigns over the last 25 years that they
planned to bring in millions of new immigrants
from all over the world? -
including from Sudan, Somalia & Pakistan etc.
