I predicted that Fuzzball would be the first one to show support for the government's illegal and inhumane treatment of fellow human beings.

Greg, you would be the first person to propose Australia doing away with borders and just let anyone come that arrives by any means to be allowed to stay in this country.

Incorrect.

All claims must be processed.

Those who aren't refugees, should be sent home.

Perhaps you have mistaken me for someone else, because I have never suggested anything even remotely like that.

I was probably comparing you to Brian.

No.

They're either asylum seekers or refugees, neither of which are illegal.

PZ547 wrote on Jun 11th, 2019 at 4:25pm:
why didn't they stay put at their first landing point in their flight as they're required to do?

There is no law that requires them to stay put at their first landing point.

You have been misinformed.

You might be the one that needs to read up on the rights and responsibilities of asylum seekers. Asylum seekers need to present themselves at the first opportunity to authorities to be able to claim asylum.

Yes.

But not at the first country they reach.

If you believe otherwise, cite your reference.

"There is no requirement in international law for refugees to seek asylum in the first country they come to.

"Some developed countries have made this an additional requirement in order to avoid processing claims, leaving the large numbers of asylum seekers in camps in Third World countries.

"International law requires that asylum seekers should not be penalised according to the way in which they enter a country.

"Australia’s current policy does not accord with this requirement."

Myths About Asylum Seekers

In case you missed it:

"There is no requirement in international law for refugees to seek asylum in the first country they come to."

Do we honestly need these mentally ill country shoppers?

They get here after doing all manner of stupid things and expect to be given everything.

Send him home
If he wants to die, his own country will do that for him.

There is a good chance he was a pervert, rapist or pedophile where he comes from
There are so many of them that revert back to these practices when they get here.

Next time, don't put him out
He did it, let it finish

The idea to claim to have been persecuted for some reason in your country of origin. But, once inside a safe haven, it defies common sense to go about self-harming or putting at risk harm to other people. Are these people really oblivious to how Australians view violence? Perhaps the asylum seekers were the threat to authorities in their home countries of origin. The asylum seekers got out of their countries because the asylum seekers were not getting their own way. Now they pull this schitt here.

Judging by the actions of asylum seekers who self harm, it would be a reasonable surmise to say that they would not be good citizens in Australia.

Had you a reason to claim Valkie was a pervert, rapist or paedophile, you could have asked him in a private message if he was of such character.

This is clearly an accusation disguised as a question.

Vic needs a bit of a look at this.
