The number of women enrolled in professional degrees, such as law and medicine, rose from less than 25% in the 1970s to more than 50% in 2015. Australia has introduced a number of equal opportunity policies in health care and in 2000 achieved gender parity in medical schools.

Today, women are typically the dominant group within medical schools and yet remain under-represented in formal leadership positions and particular speciality areas. Although today there is greater female participation in medical roles, it still appears that women are hitting the glass ceiling.

disappointment rejection ignorance its there all through our lives..

maybe men are told too often not to cry why is it shameful for a man to cry I have never understood that.

men are .... scared by emotions.

So immature men used to say 'don't cry'.
That has sort of gone.

but men often lack other men friends.
So all their 'friendship' emotions go to a female.
Or are stifled.

many of the comments on chat sites point to a guy who has few or no real male friends.
Or who has repressed emotions.

Being a bloke can be trying.

expectations are higher......you are meant to be stronger and have all the answers..

I find the stats to be very sad and very alarming to be honest...we need to give men back their self esteem I dont blame the fair sex entirely but we never seem to give credit where its due anymore...

I am not sure I would want to be a man to be honest....I have always thought you had the best of the deal....if I can call it that.....but not anymore...I look at my beautiful grandsons. I have 5 and I am always telling them how important they are and how proud I am of what they do I give them a pat on the back no matter how small the deed...one of them won the Golden Gloves in Qld I am not happy he is boxing but I couldnt be prouder of him not becaus ehe won.. because he keep trying he works two jobs. is studying at CITS.....turns up at all our family do's...hes 21 a credit to mum and dad...

its just what I would want for every young man out there...

strangely enough the Psychiatry profession has a very high level of suicide among their specialists.....

what does that tell us?....

we are not coping and the modern world is getting harder to live in...nothing is simple anymore....

look at us for instance we come on here knowing full well we can end up in a nasty argument that really goes nowhere.... Roll Eyes

we barely make any attempt to see others point of view....

please dont tell me this does not affect people!
what goes on on here does....some worse than others...but to pretend it doesnt put your back up or makes you flaming angry I dont believe it...

this is road rage in cyberspace....

some folks make me want to give up others just ping me off.....

I cant imagine what it would be like to work day in day out with them.....and probably they think the same with me...

They have no path for their valour any more, so they turn inwards and seek to destroy themselves rather than seeking out and destroying their true enemies....

The emasculation of western society is to blame - and the clear reason for that was so as to compel a powerless and compliant working class subject to total control and willing to accept serfdom as their new lot, along with endemic poverty for many.....

Power in their families, their workplace, their daily life in every way has been steadily removed from them and in some cases handed directly to other social groups; they are subject to a reign of terror watching over their shoulder in case the old girl throws a hissy fit and starts a house war with them using the power of the State; in applying for any job they must supplicate themselves to the gods of political correctness and are not permitted to over-perform lest they create stress on their fellow female employees (as in the public service); they are not even permitted a voice in any of the issues that impact directly against them..... and thus so many despair....

No wonder the peasants are revolting......

What is needed are some Camp Grapplers to instill in them a sense of self worth and value and clarify their thinking so they can go forth and trash their enemies.

That's absolutely appalling.

I know that in the psychiatric profession the psychiatrists have routine scheduled therapy sessions with a fellow-psychiatrist.

I know from close personal observation as a hospital patient that the student nurses, the registered nurses, and the Ward sisters are run off their feet in a very stressful environment.
