They any friggin' good? Thinking about getting this one. I'm done with Apple, Dell and HP horsepucky devices.

I got one years ago for $500 from some computer dealer that I would not purchase from again. So far, the computer laptop has been good for watching international regional versions of dvds. Otherwise, I wish I had not bought a laptop in the first place.

However, Lenovo is part of the brands that originate from China. Perhaps try to boycott that product, for now.

And you're okay with China boycotting Australian products?

That's probably one of the reasons he is doing it Greg. Do try to keep up.

I need to read further on these forums before I respond. But, yes, the boycott of Australian products by the Chinese is the ONLY reason I will boycott Chinese products.

He hasn't answered yet.

Let's see what he has to say.

I make the same mistake twice. Maybe there will be a third.

But, surely, you would draw your own conclusions that I would counter boycott something simply because of the unfair boycott my countrymen receive. I did not purchase a Lenovo laptop simply without being satisfied reviewing the product in store before purchase. Had this pandemic hysteria happened threeeee years earlier, followed by the Chinese ultranationalism and racism against Australia(ns), I would probably not have purchased the Lenovo.

Made up my mind and decided to go with this:

...

Yep, a Micro$oft Surface Pro-7 capitalist piece of crap.

Reviews and specs looks good and I have the option of buying it back at the end of the year at a fraction of the price.

Glad that crisis is over with.

I'm sure China is suffering badly as a result of your heroic (in)action.

Yeah, me and every other person aware of what China is doing. Boycotting Chinese products for one reason or the other. The Chinese might act like vampires. But their lack of exports will hurt them.

They don't appear to be suffering too much.

Probably because they can still make a lot of money off of slave labour and poor working conditions that the low-wage Chinese are forced to endure.

If it was not for the fact that the Chinese banned meat imports from Australian meat holdings that had mislabeled the beef exports, my town would be doing it tough. The fact is, the Chinese unleashed a virus on the world without clamping down on those who were suffering the virus in China. We could have avoided the lockdown if the Chinese acted responsibly. And we would not be suffering a downturn of Chinese imports from Australia if the Chinese authorities did not act like spoiled brats who can't take criticism.

The fact that I don't personally suffer from the Chinese boycott, it does not mean that I cannot act with altruism supporting those that have suffered. I can rethink my purchases a bit more in future about where the product has come from.

As long as they're not Chinese, you mean?

He's boycotting products from a particular country.

Thus, it's exactly the same.

The same as what Greg? There must be two things for them to be the same.
