Work is actually paying for it. They want something they can resell at the end of the year and they are really frowning on HP and Apple products. I myself will never buy another Apple product ever. As far as spyware in the BIOS every manufacturer has that. I've worked with Lenovo's before and found them to be more reliable than any Apple crap I've ever owned. I have not used my iMac Pro in months because its such overpriced garbage.

Lenovo assembles ThinkPad and ThinkCentre computers at a Whitsett, North Carolina manufacturing plant. The Chinese company opened this facility in 2012 for faster shipping to its US consumer base.

Every manufacture has spyware. Every manufacture has proprietary contacts with Chinese factories who produce Chinese parts for every computer out there.


Even the crap Apples assembles in Texuuss is originally produced in China.
