I did not see the game but a friend told me something about a Mankad.....The practice was named after an Indian after all.....Vinoo Mankad who ran out Bill Brown at the bowlers end in act of bowling a delivery during a tour of Australia.....Indian's like calling other people cheats and racists yet see no problem with their players own actions and behaviour....Not that there is anything wrong with a Mankad if you feel it is waranted!!!

The tradition with the Mankad is that you warn the batsman that he or she is leaving the crease before the bowler is in their delivery stride. After this the bowler may Mankad without problem if the batsman continues the behaviour.

Legend has it that Mr Douglas Jardine was guilty of the Mankad as a university student around the same time. The issue was the Indian teams lack of spirit when the chips are down. They have done this before and they will continue if allowed to get away with it. They hand out the sledging but can not take it. They don't want DRS but then complain about the umpires.

I agree Nairbe.....Check out Sunil Gavaskar on you tube....

India see no problem when bad umpiring decisions go their way.....This LBW dismissal of Adam Gilchrist was woeful.....The ball pitches way outside leg stump yet both commentators claim it pitched on middle and leg are they blind or stupid.....Gilchrist also gets an inside edge.....India did not complain!!!

I think the law states if a player deviates from his line to deliberately block a throw he will be given out....D.Hussey ran in a straight line and protected himself from being struck by the ball.....He did not deviate and kept in a straight line.....Players should only be given out in the most blatant cases where it is obvious they tried to obstruct the throw and deviated to do so.....Winning a match by demanding players are given out when they get hit by the ball is not in the spirit of the game.....I think the law should be used only in the most blatant cases of cheating and players should accept the umpires decision.....India are sore losers and bad sports who are front runners to say the least.....If Australia acted in the same way I would be disgusted which is why I think Ponting was a bad sport at times when he lowered himself to the same level as the opposition!!!

It is obvious the umpires deemed Hussey was defending his body from the erratic throw.....The Indian player should have been warned for throwing the ball deliberately at the batsman!!!
