You do understand the difference between temperature readings taken in Stevenson Screens, how it's done for official temperatures and those taken in direct sun; don't you? You don"t? Grin

The court might well have reached 69 degrees. But the temperature in the shade reached 39 degree, according to the article. No player should have played in those temperatures. They should have cranked the air conditioning, open air or not.

And one from 2 years before claiming to be the record at 165F or 74C.

Wiki records it at the former.

BTW - had a look at that 74C claim. it seems it was a composite temperature.

"Bandar Mahshahr clocked an air temperature of 46°C (115°F) and a dewpoint temperature of 32°C (90°F), creating a heat index of 165°F. A dewpoint temperature is an indication of the level of humidity."

When it all melts the water will increase its area . This reflects sunlight and raises water vapour in the atmosphere, lowering the heating rates. Australia's population on the Alpine islands (previously kown as "ski resorts") will watch the surf height dropping as the Andes mountains , the only block in the southern ocean, emerge in the global cooling. Soon they will plough the rich soils in Sydney Harbour and Port Phillip as Antarctica reaches 15km thick ice.

Enrichment processes require uranium to be in a gaseous form at relatively low temperature, hence uranium oxide from the mine is converted to uranium hexafluoride in a preliminary process, at a separate conversion plant.
