It's ok Lee we know u can never see anything positive, no mater what the News.
So in 7 years they want to get rid of petrol , thats pretty awesome, they have the same population as new Zealand.
Wow 1.5 times the size of Victoria , so that means at only 2/3 the size Victoria could go petrol free in 7 year's too.
That's a lot of boats from the Middle east we wouldn't need

A lot of asthma disappearing from Melbourne too.

I guess the bigger question will be, will Norway stop gathering oil ? it's about the biggest money earner for them.

hey nail, u got the link for this. Is it just petrol and not diesel or all FF's. Or just for domestic use ?
7 years does seam a bit ambitous, be interesting to see how it pans out. Wink

And never once do we hear from our polies about the issue of reducing GHG emissions from automobiles and trucks !! It just never gets a mention for some reason ! I wonder why ?

It was something I heard on the news about an experimental electric plane in Norway and then they went onto say something about how they were going to stop selling petrol by 2025 ! But then they have had a massive electrification of their transport system over the years so I am not surprised by this early cut off date Wink

What is Norway's main export?
The country is richly endowed with natural resources - petroleum, hydropower, fish, forests and minerals - and is highly dependent on its oil production and international oil prices. Only Saudi Arabia exports more oil than Norway. Norway imports more than half its food needs.

now theres a conundrum... Roll Eyes

40% of the countries exports are FOSSILFUEL OIL...

maybe they can sell fish oil instead!
