Absolutely no-one has read the OP.

What a missed opportunity to educate themselves.

YOU need to educate yourself on REALITY first.
You have so many topics to cover...  come back in a couple of centuries.

Nope Goose. You're lagging.

I imagine you are used to that by now though.
what's your opinion on the major issues like meth affecting the wider community Mothra?

Meth's a big one. Where you have disatisfied people, you're always going to run the risk of substance abuse. It's escapism.

Meth is a nasty form of escapism. No winners in that one. Ordinary goey was bad enough as a habit but Meth is next level.

But what has that to do with the Intervention?
r

And why are they disatisfied?

Because they have nothing, and when they get any money, they waste it on grog and drugs.

Perhaps, just lerhaps, they could actually use some of the free education and abbstudy benifi r s to geg educated.
Then, perhaps, they could actually get a job and WORK

Now I know this is not what you wish to hear motheaten, but when you work you get money.
You get self worth
You actually become something other than a parasite.

Or

You could simply hold your hand out and demand money from the government.
Money I work hard to give you through my taxes.
Around $3,000,00 a month of my hard earned cash is taken from me to give to worthless parasites who have nothing to offer other than demanding more from me because they are
ABORIGINAL.

unless you've travelled and seen these people in the outback (not the urban abbo's) then you best just shut your gob..

its time to stop the gravy train that keeps going to these people and only issue them a welfare card in which you can only buy proper food...

no alcohol, smokes or junk food..

same goes with all welfare recipients..

Read the OP, Hammer. Tell me if an intervention for meth users is feasible.

Tell me if it's ethical.

Read the OP, Hammer.

Yes, all of it.

Did you read Jacinta Price's articles? Both of them?

When will Aborigines start to help themselves and stop covering up the horrendous abuse they subject each other to in the name of 'culture' - that is the big question.

They do not have to beat and rape and neglect their women and children. Nobody is MAKING them do such things.

Firstly, it'd interesting hoe your descriptor of "they" actually translates to men. How surprising.

And how exactly is the Intervention working to protect women and children?

Have you been following the findings of the RC?

Is this 'well worded' by you standards?

But anyway, yes, sorry, the men beat and rape the women and children  and Aboriginal mothers are 17.5 times more likely to die from homicide than non-Aboriginal mothers  (so it's not just ANY old random male doin' the murdering) - but the women do carry out some of the child murders.
Apologies.  Inclusive enough for you?

You can't help people who will not help themselves.  No other demographic is so deaf to reason as the Aborigines.

"Give us more money and let us decide how we spend it" is not OK when it comes to Aborigines. There had to be an Intervention because it was not OK to do just that with them.

Territory kids suffer "terrifying" rates of STDs

December 18, 2007 - 9:16PM

New figures that show alarming rates of STD infection among children and Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory are "terrifying", says the Australian Medical Association (AMA).

In the six months to June this year, 41 children aged under 10 presented with gonorrhoea, 41 with chlamydia, five with syphilis and 40 with trichomoniasis.

Among them, one child under four was diagnosed with gonorrhoea and another in the same age bracket with chlamydia.

Five children aged between five and nine were found to be suffering from sexually transmitted diseases.

The figures, from the NT health department's sexual health and blood-borne viruses unit, also showed a disproportionately high number of Aboriginal people with STDs.

More than 800 cases of gonorrhoea were reported in indigenous populations, while just 53 cases were noted in non-indigenous groups.

The Aboriginal population accounted for 66 per cent of all chlamydia cases and 92 per cent of syphilis cases within the six-month period.

Northern Territory AMA president Peter Beaumont today said he was horrified by the figures, which come on the back of the Howard government's emergency intervention to combat child sex abuse in Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory.

The radical reforms, announced in June, were prompted by the release of a report that found evidence of child sex abuse in all 45 communities it visited.

Dr Beaumont warned that more cases should be expected as the intervention continues its rollout under a Rudd government.

"Pat Anderson and Rex Wild's report into the Little Children are Sacred shows quite clearly that sexual misdemeanours against children and babies is rife in indigenous communities," Mr Beaumont told the ABC.

"It's a huge surprise that there is such a significant increase in sexually transmitted diseases in indigenous people - it is terrifying."

Dr Beaumont said the NT government needed to improve sexual health education among Aboriginal populations.

"The education process has to start a lot younger and people need to be reminded that unsafe sex is very unsafe," he said.

"Those people who are responsible for education just are going to have to reassess what they were doing and focus very, very firmly on getting rid of this dreadful scourge."

And you read about the white paedophile ring? Yes?
