because people like groggy/mothra, Agnes, John smith, left winger, AIA etc can't argue a topic..

they come in and attack and slander other forum members in nearly every post..

so why would you come here?

every time you give an opinion you get attacked personally?

its a bloody disgrace that the forum moderators continually turn a blind eye to this..

roach called me an idiot must be 11 times in the Centerlink debacle threads.

The moderating here is a disgrace, true.

Herbert.
the noble rightard doesnt need things to "go his way".
In fact, he actively seeks out irritations and distractions because by dealing with these, he is able to improve his focus and improve his "direction in life".

You and the mechanic are correct but you need to see things in a slightly different light.

The behaviours of the inferior man serve you well.
they provide the emotional juice to 'stay on your purpose".
Not to get angry, but to see them as people stuck in lower conciousness, people who are not growing, not improving, wasting their lives , so to speak.
When i see the same posts from certain pedants again and again and again, i feel compassion for the individual.
I feel the same way i feel when i see fat steve chowing down on his pizza and coke with his fat wife , looking all beaten down and living with no passion at all.
And thats the price you pay for being a hater or a "coper" or someone living a life of "taking".  Your growth ceases.

Just keep blasting out your contributions, keep giving of your ideas, keep penetrating the world with your energy, as you have always done and use the irritations to develop your will power, your resilience and your emotional mastery.

They have fallen so far off of the narrow road to success that they are gone now.  Some can be helped, but most cannot. See them as a warning about what happens when you get stuck at the bottom of the pyramid and you just durp around aimlessly.  mediocrity, failure and emotional distress

Well, I'm new so I don't know who's who, but just as a general observation...
I do think some people are fast and loose with the ad hominems and anger, and one or two sound a bit like they're under the impression if they just hammer in the same sentence over and over and over again, eventually people will agree with them.
I don't actually post on the Australian boards because I'm not over there anymore, and I'm just reading to stay aware of how things are going.  (US Media is really poor in reporting the politics of other countries.)

But the problem is that you ARE an idiot, jovial_bedwetter! Even a super-polite person would call you an idiot. and btw... FTTN is still working at 96/38 despite the heat.  You are denying yourself the chance to enjoy this super-fast technology by bloody-minded ideology.

It's the persistent trolling one-liners from the likes of Karnal, Greg, Unforgiven and John Smith of an ad hominem nature that leads the mob astray from a thread topic until it's dead in the water - which is the primary purpose of their childish bantering in the first place.

I couldn't give a rat's arse about abuse and insult so long as it's not repeated endlessly in order to distract from the main topic and render the thread yet another failed attempt at some adult conversation.

I think thats not correct.
I think a lot of people who arent out there with focus and passion find that their sense of "self' is pretty loose. they arent grounded, they feel almost like they dont exist and thats very scarey for an 'ego' which needs reassurance that "you exist".

so when people post on facebook and get that little hit of dopamine from a "like" it really is a little ego boost (someone out there has acknowledge my existance).

now if you are running a small business , you are getting your existence acknowledged all day long. in fact sometimes you feel like throwing the mobile in the pool .

But if you are a bit anxious, arent really doing something you are passionate about, if you are just trying to cope, then getting acknowledgement on the internet is an increasingly common way to get your ego stroked.  and this is the important fact.   YOUR EGO doesnt care if your get a negative stroke or a positive stroke. it just wants the stroke.  it just wants to be told "someone noticed me".

we see this in very immature children who will sometimes be naughty to get attention. i imagine graffitit and a lot of other dysfunctional behaviour has similar roots.
so it is dysfunctional but it is quite understandable.
the solution is to get a passion that is of higher purpose.
think bigger is often the answer  Wink

Even if I agreed with you, I would have to say that at least scoot is articulate, which you are not. Try expressing yourself, it will make for more interesting reading.
