Sorry it was a current affair - same thing to me.

No it was a segment on cheap shopping - the comment was that the cheese was being advertised at a normal low price but as soon as the advertising finished the price went up the next week.

Wollies Homebrand Parmesan isn't that great on pasta. I prefer fresh block Romano to grate myself, but as an add in to recipes it works a charm. Wink

Does Aldi have block Imported Italian Romano (goat milk preferably) ?

The lamentable fact though is that the enemy, my digestive system, will only allow a very small consumption.

Anyone else have this problem? As such I haven't really looked at their other varieties.

I haven't had Stilton for donkey's yonks. It was my former husband's favourite. He also liked goat cheese (chèvre) which was a little like Camembert but a little more "tart".

Had some with lunch. Absolutely mouth-smacking beautiful. Just the right balance of creaminess, bacterial aging and saltiness.

I remember being at a party, oh it would have to have been 50 years ago, and there was a plate of cheese cubes of Red Leicester and it was the first time I'd tasted it. I think I demolished most of the plate. (not the first time I've done that)
