Has anyone tried this new coffee pod Aldi has now?
No 13 called Calabrese. Quite strong.
Having a cup now & it's good. I might have to become a Turk, even a .Muslim for coffee like that.

(Had some neighbours once from Calabria. Wonderful people. Beautiful pizza & bread they used to make

That's it of course. Sicily was once occupied by the Arabs, hence the strong coffee)

It's a short strong hit of caffeine whereas turkish whilst strong, comes in larger portions and has that leftover mud in the bottom of the cup.

I never let instant coffee pass my lips, I agree life too short. I do have a couple of favourite Cafes that I haunt when Im out at lunch but while I'm at work and at home I'm often in a rush, particularly in the morning, so instead of a coffee machine I use a plunger. I reckon it's not a bad alternative. Of the commercial blends I like Lavazza espresso. Otherwise, we have a couple of local growers around here that make a nice blend.

I've had many a coffee at a café obviously but really having one at home from that little machine and that little pod tastes every bit as good as what I've paid for elsewhere. And you know what - it's always, always hot!

It's not as if a good espresso is difficult to make. And think of all that plastic and foil going into landfill.
