WTF should we even be there.

Because they still have a lot of oil reserves that need protecting, and we wouldn't want to see terrorists have control of fuel sources. Only George Bush (either of them) would be happy to see terrorist bump up the price of world oil. It's their little bitch, after all.

There is only one country capable of defeating these nut cases and i hate to say it, aint the US. This country has proven itself to be unbeatable and layed all its enemies to waste every time they have tried to move against it.

It is also the biggest recipient of US aid and they way I see it its high time they paid it back in the form of military aid whatever that takes. They are Israel and if they were made to they could defeat IS within a couple of months.

That will not happen of course because IS and Israel have a special arrangement of non engagement with each other. Stalin thought he was safe signing a non aggression pact with Hitler and he was stunned when he was told the USSR was being invaded by Germany. Israel is delusional if it thinks their cosy little arrangement is any more permanent than that one because if IS wipes out all the Shias in Bagdad there is no doubt they will turn their sights on Tel Aviv.

Iraq will not fall as much as fracture along sectarian/ethnic lines. Sunni Arab Iraq will be governed by Saudi Arabia. Shia Arab Iraq will be governed by Iran. Kurdistan will be independent (perhaps in all but name). This is largely the case now.
