Are the submarines included in that? What are they for again? Looking for MH 370?

Hockey is doing the best he can in light of a hostile Senate determined to say no to everything.

The "hostile" senate are doing
an EXCELLENT job in blocking EVERYTHING that contradicts
LibNat

HOPEFULLY this may teach the
LibNats
a lesson in honesty and integrity when presenting their election manifesto in 2016

Some pledges may have to be broken after Hockey has finally seen just how badly Swan trashed the budget. This is understandable for most reasonable people. Obviously you're not one of those reasonable people.

You forget a lot, don't you? Stephen Smith (Labor) is the one who got the ball rolling on purchasing new subs to replace the Collins-Class fleet, not Abbott. Oh and by the way, most of the current budget is Labor policy because the Coalition hasn't been allowed to have its own policies pass in the Senate. So if you want to blame anyone, blame Swan, as it's simply a continuation of his policies. Hockey is doing the best he can in light of a hostile Senate determined to say no to everything.

it doesn't need to be 'allowed'
... the coalition is the govt. If it can't do its job it should resign and let someone else do it ...

what the hell do you think parliament is there for???

ONE "broken promise" - and that is debatable - technically being an interim fixed price on an ETS

Not FOURTEEN specific election pledges - in the first 365 days, alone

Abbott government breaks more promises than it keeps

Abbott is a liar and con man and if he has any sense of decency he needs to keep his promise of a DD election.

it would be nice if Hockey took responsibility for his mess, but really no surprise that he's trying to blame labor for it.

Amazing how 18 months ago it was all about the debt, debt debt, now no one cares

no, the right would rather bury their heads ...besides, whats the point? they'll just tell themselves its labors fault and ignore the evidence no matter what anyone puts up!

Q. How do you take a deficit from $18 B to $48B in 12 months?

A. Put the adults in charge (the people claiming to be good economic managers but are in fact more like clowns).

It is amazing how many things that were critical to the conservatives while in opposition now are not relevant.

Debt, Honesty in government, competence, waste etc, time spent overseas etc.

And now Abbott and Hockey want to bash pensioners and the working poor even more to pay for the Conservatives lust for war.
Yep...the poor are gonna pay to protect the USA's oil interests in the Middle East.
