Unfortunately we've had inappropriate language coming from very senior politicians including the prime minister ... and a very ill-informed Senator (Jacqui) Lambie, making comments.

Mr Krayem also said rushing to label the 18-year-old man a "radical, terrorist or extremist" would have a negative effect on the investigation into the police shooting

Because of the environment we're in, the moment you label somebody like that people don't want to them question what occurred,"
Mr Krayem told Fairfax radio.
He said the man went voluntarily to the police station, and what occurred next was unclear.
