The police where obviously stabbed before they defended themselves.....This incident should be a wake up call for the Muslim community who are losing their youth to extremism.....The Muslim community needs to address the fact that they are losing the battle of hearts and minds with their youth to extremist lunatics half way across the world.....Whilst Muslims keep blaming everything else accept themselves they will continue to drive young people to extremist groups.....Until Muslims accept they are part of the problem they will continue to live in denial and do nothing to stop their youth being radicalised!!!

Blaming anyone apart from the Muslim community who are failing to address this problem themselves shows that you are also prepared to lay blame for partisan bullshit rather than laying the blame where it belongs.....Blaming the ALP or Tony Abbott lets the Muslim community absolve themselves of responsibility by blaming anyone but themselves.....Moderate Muslims don't need apologists or excuses they need to stand up and take responsibility for what is happening!!!

I'm not so sure its quite so simple .... in the few cases I've read about, the families involved have tried to stop their sons from becoming extremists ... there is only so much someone can do.
These people turn to extremism because they feel alienated from society ... the community as a whole, their families included, need to work together to stop alienating these teenagers (usually when it starts) so that they don't feel they have to turn to extremists to feel like they belong

Usually they only want what every other teenager wants, to be accepted.
