Is Islam a problem in Australia?

Hell no! The more Muslims the better!

John Smith wrote on Sep 24th, 2014 at 7:32pm:
Sure the media likes to play it up and blame Islam, paint every muslim as a terrorist ...

Yeah. Lots of stories on the news that simply aren't true. All a beat-up to sell papers and advertising space.

And, yeah ~ They paint every Muslim as a terrorist. We see this every day in the news, don't we John? All of them. Terrorists. That's wot the media tells us.

John Smith wrote on Sep 24th, 2014 at 7:32pm:
Why is a perpetrators religion not mentioned in any news reports except for when the perpetrator is Muslim??

I can tell you're a deep thinker, John.

You're quite correct in thinking it's unfair and discriminatory of the media to mention the religion of these suspected religious terrorists who want to murder us in crowded outdoor places..

It's totally uncalled for that the religion of these religious terrorists is disclosed to the public.

It should remain their own private business which religion it is that is urging them to kill us.

Cool

you know Herb, sometime you should just shut up and keep people guessing rather than open your mouth and proving to everyone what a dickhead you are .....

And yes, John, continuing along your theme, it was probably unfair and even churlish of the media to mention, after WWII, what the politics was of the Germans who gassed 6million Jews.

Did it matter to you their politics? Would it somehow justify the deaths if they were of a different political persuasion. Cheesy Cheesy

You don't think that something pretty sad has happened to make an 18 year old think that something like this action is an option in Australia ?

Yes, it's sad.

I cried all the way through the documentary on the Nuremberg Trials at the awful misdirection those genocidal monsters took because of the bad potty training they receive from their parents.

I read the Nuremberg trial transcripts as a child, pretty chilling stuff. Though not caused by bad potty training but Government legislation in the Form of Army doctrine do as your ordered or be shot for disobeying!

as an 18yo they probably had no right.  But anyhow, stab a copper while trying to kill him and the bullet is only to be expected.

Incredibly, they said on tonight's news that the two policemen had agreed to meet this Muslim a short distance from the police station because he had told them he would feel 'Uncomfortable' in there.

I say, WHAT?

How very accommodating.

How very touchy-feely.

How very culturally sensitive.

Oh, so a known person to the police, who had been the subject of police involvement in the past, whose parents had been asked to restrict his movements, who had been parading around around with an ISL flag, who had been screaming anti aussie slogans, who IS KNOWN to police, goes to the police station and pulls a knife?

Geez, I never would have thought that.....surely a young man BORN IN Australia would have produced a mouth organ and played "advance Australia Fair"  Thick as fire doors you righties

what exactly is your point? that they sought to do the right thing and were stabbed in response?

My point is I would have thought they would have been better prepared for a person known so extensively to them.   Surely, they must have anticipated some form of action/rreaction and been suitably prepared?   Some other police discretely in the background perhaps?

I had read elsewhere that he had actually left the religious group he was previously associated with some time ago and police knew that. They thought he was coming in as an informer and had no reason to suspect that he would do what he did.

Where do you keep getting this shlt from? Islam has a very powerful hierarchy system. It is part of the reason why their religion and politics are nearly inseparable. Even more bizarre is how you keep saying Christianity has a strong hierarchy when in fact it doesn't. The Catholic church certainly does, but protestant churches got hid of a hierarchy system centuries ago. You will not find anyone with supreme power or say in Presbyterian, Baptist, congregation, etc, churches. Instead, they do everything they can to avoid anyone having too much power.

Sorry Quantum, if you'd read the whole thread you would have seen that i have already admitted to being a novice on anything Islam ....

The problem with Islam as I see it (

As I understand it, a Catholic priest answers to his bishop who answer to his Archbishop who answers to his Cardinal who answers to the pope. However, no such structure exists in Islam ... I understood that any Iman was free to interpret the Quoran as they see fit. I also was led to believe that no formal training is required to become an Iman ...

If I am wrong, can you tell me what the structure is and who is the head of the Islamic Church?

Bump for Quantum ...

I read Irishman Airey Neave's book on the trials in which he was a translator for German.

Good book.

The poor fellow was later murdered by the Irish.

Airey Neave was killed on 30 March 1979, when a magnetic car bomb fitted with a ball bearing tilt switch exploded under his Vauxhall Cavalier[23] at 14:58 as he drove out of the Palace of Westminster car park.[24] Both of his legs were blown off and he died in hospital an hour after being freed from the wreckage. The Irish National Liberation Army (INLA), an Irish Republican organisation banned in the United Kingdom under anti-terrorism legislation, claimed responsibility for the killing.

The question is: Why did they have to kill him??? Police in Europe carry self defence bullets, made from hard rubber. Powerful enough to hurt a man but not kill him. I'm sure this kid wasn't a die hard terrorist, just young, naive, lost and brainwashed by propaganda.

You jest surely? You know he tried to kill them, right? He stabbed one in the head. You don't just pop them with a rubber bullet - that'll only make him angrier. You bust a cap in his arse, pure and simple. The arse atop his neck, that is. Right down the hole.

Yeah.

A lost lamb in a cruel world populated by wolves.

Putting those two policemen in hospital was just a cry for help. He didn't really mean it.

If he had survived, I'm sure his Defence Counsel would be telling the judge he was remorseful and truly sorry for his actions.

He's the real victim here.
