The consistent and violent track record of Islam simply doesn't allow it to be classed as no worse than any other religion.

Is Islam a problem in Australia? Certainly not in my experience. Sure the media likes to play it up and blame Islam, paint every muslim as a terrorist ... but they don't apply the same rules to everyone else.

Why is a perpetrators religion not mentioned in any news reports except for when the perpetrator is Muslim??

The Catholic Church Hierarchy (in part) knew what was going on and covered it up but the vast majority of the church - including its leadership - did not know. Once they did find out their rejection of it and internal change was both swift and genuine. Muslims however, ALL know.

But Muslims don't have a heirarchy that can dictate what its followers do ... its every iman for himself, and lets face it, like shock jocks on radio, sadly, for some of them, its in their best interest to act extreme when competing for followers

You will not find anyone with supreme power or say in Presbyterian, Baptist, congregation, etc, churches. Instead, they do everything they can to avoid anyone having too much power.

in today's world, you're probably right that the islamic religion has the greatest of problems. BUt that's not to say that all religion hasn't at one point in time or another being an overreaching reason for why sh!t happens. Not to mention that it just dumbs down people.

I would suggest it would be because most perprtrators in Australia ,at least, don't use their religion as a motive (but when they do it's reported). Islamist terrorists do use religion as a motive. Hence it's reported.

But that's just an observation.

he gets a LOT the wrong way around. it is almost s definition of his style. and youa re right. there is little hierarchy in the Christian church other than the catholics and what there is is ually more administrative rather than any power structure.

he gets a LOT the wrong way around. it is almost s definition of his style. and youa re right. there is little hierarchy in the Christian church other than the catholics and what there is is ually more administrative rather than any power structure.
