Yes, many times.  Most particularly in 1998 when One Nation, the only part to run with an explicitly anti-Multicultural policy was treated with absolute contempt by the voters.   Even it's leader lost her (and their only) seat in federal parliament.    Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

one nation got 11% of the primary vote. (about the same as the greens) that's pretty awesome for a new party with limited advertising and universal criticism from do-gooders on both sides of parliament. you really should think a bit before you post, Hot Load

In the 1998 Federal Election (when Kim Beazley won the popular vote)?

No.

So it wont actually be Happy Holiday then.

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

Actually, if the major parties didn't preference One Nation last, they would have been the Cliva Palmers of their time.

We'd all be speaking Pauline now.

Please explain?

Spring has sprung. Here's the first post of the year about you-know-who stealing Christmas and spoiling our fun.

Thanks, dear. Happy Holidays!

11% isn't much higher than the normal informal vote.  Hardly something to be proud of.  It also meant (approximately) 89% of voters, voted against One Nation.  I know One Notion had problems with the concepts of democracy but even their supporters must realise such a rejection is still a rejection.   I suppose they have to put the best face possible on such a dismal outing.    Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

Commercial contraction of the word.  Nothing to do with Multiculturalism.

Quote:
what about swearing on the  Bible...

Still happens.  Did last time I was in court on Jury Duty.

Quote:
what about Prayers in schools/parliament...

Prays still occur in Parliament.  Prayers never occurred in school when I was a kid.  Shouldn't occur in either in my opinion, both should be secular.

Small things in your imagination!

Has it been because of government decree of because people feel they need to take into account other religions?  You got a problem with recognising Kwaanza?  Not everybody is Christian, afterall! Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin
