It's obviously a time warp thing. Menzies was PM when I was a kid, and when all I cared about was sport and girls we wafted through light weight good blokes until we hit Whitlam in the 1970s. Then Frazer, then Hawke, then Keating, then Howard, and now we are wafting again among the light weights.....and I cannot see anyone on the horizon.....and for Mr L. Weekend.......not even Clive gets above light weight.

I watched Hockey being interviewed by Annabel Crab on 'Kitchen Cabinet' once and was astonished when he admitted that he had no idea what he was doing when he was given his first portfolio by Howard ... when she asked him if he was serious his answer was along the lines of 'I'm a career politician, I had no idea about finance and how it all worked' (or words to that effect)

I'm glad he was honest but do we really want these people running the country?

I reckon Hockey is positioning himself for a knifing before Turnbull beats him to it. Abbott will not just go down in history as a failed one term PM, he will also to down in history as taking at least two of the obvious alternatives with him.
