That's why you'll hear from him at times that it's about deaths at sea. But other times it's about stopping people smugglers.  But then it's because all asylum seekers arriving by boat are economic migrants?  And do you know how he knows this?  Because a people smuggler said once that they tell asylum seekers how to talk to our immigration department.  It's similar to you know, a footy team that's on top of the ladder no longer needing to train as otherwise they would be cheating.  Sparky just can't assess information and make logical conclusions.  But not his fault, it's the loony conservative disease.

The truth is, for sparky any excuse will do.  Because it's not about deaths, or people smuggling, or economic migrants.  No,  it's not even about "queue jumping."  It's quite simply fear. And this fear means any excuse will do and any bit of news that may justify the fear by the slightest is above all else fact. 

Quite sad, really.

That's because he never did. He said he would stop the boats and they are stopping.
