Death Penalty For Conspiracy & Treason?
May 24th, 2012 at 10:02pm

Watched the Drum today and watched a group of Corporate hireling Maggots and spin doctors all agreeing with each other as to why Australia should be obliged to allow foreign fighters, terrorists and Guerrillas into Australia on compassionate grounds under the refugee conventions and couldn't help wondering - at what point is enough treason, subversion and conspiracy enough.  Should Australia reintroduce the death penalty for treason for these kinds of activities?

If we did, half the conservatives in the country would be up for the 'Eight o'clock Walk'.

Their whole philosophy is treasonous.

These kinds of crime are the right of the people to decide over in a court of law.,  We should in the current climate be fast tracking treason laws.

The Drum Discussion in question can be viewed at the following link and this should be of the utmost concern to every Australian citizen.  Please watch this video and contact your local member and tell him what you think about asylum for terrorists and foreign fighters and complain to the appropriate media complaints statutory body about the spin doctors on the Drum and their treasonous propaganda.

the problem with a law like that would be that it would be ordinary citizens that get killed and the john howards will get away with it.

Whilst I agree with the general thrust of these sentiments, the term "conspiracy" is too general, and "treason" only applies legally in time of war. Now that we are supposedly engaged in a permanent "war on terror", the legal grounds for such a charge would be endlessly in dispute. What is needed is an intermediate deterrent that is sufficiently persuasive, and I believe that the "rotan" is one of the best.

The rotan is a four-foot length of one-inch diameter bamboo. One end is bound as a handle, and several slits are cut lengthwise from handle to end. The offender is  stripped naked and given a loin-cloth. He is led into a closed yard and strapped face-down on a mesh frame. The strokes are applied by a hooded military officer, and by law only three may be applied at a time, since a fourth could prove fatal.

At the first stroke, the slitted bamboo pinches the skin of the back severely; the pain is so sudden and severe that the offender involuntarily excretes and urinates, hence his garb. If nine strokes are ordered, the offender is taken away after three; some months later, when the initial scars have healed, three more are applied, and the last three later again. The punishment leaves permanent welts on the back as a warning against repeated offending.

Singapore has long used the rotan as a successful deterrent to many offences, including especially crimes of violence, of corruption, and against the state. The recidivism rate is a fraction of that in Australia, as are the number of offences attracting the penalty.

I have long advocated that John Howard and his cronies be tried for treason for selling out Australia's interests and serving the US by invading Afghanistan and Iraq.

Howard is just as bad as the traitors who sent Australians to die at Gallipoli.

Howard allowed Australian citizens to be tortured by foreign governments - treason.

Furthermore, both Labor and Liberals have committed treason by allowing US bases on Australian soil.

Gillard has done nothing to protect Julian Assange an Australian citizen, which demonstrates a treacherous attitude on her behalf.

Labor and Liberals allow a foreigner to own 70% of Australia's newspapers and the major cable TV oultet. Treson!

The Australian government did next to nothing when Israelis were found to be copying Australian passports. Treason!

When you have strong anti Treason Laws it takes away the fertile ground for conspiracy and corruption that allows treason to fester at the top, so those ordinary citizens you are talking about are today's CEO's and corrupt politicians.  With proper laws they would never rise to the top to threaten the security and freedom of the Australian people.  The men on that Drum  debate would never get a job in the media or at the corporate executive level to ply their sedition.

No: Australia should not reintroduce the death penalty for treason, or any other crime.

Capital punishment has no place in a modern, civilised society.

People using refugee conventions to smuggle terrorists & Guerrilla fighters into Australia to destabilize the country have no place in modern Australia.  We need tough laws to combat corruption and protect the Innocent from organized crime, corruption, treason and conspiracy.
