Had he been competent, Abbott like Turnbull would not have made any headway whatsoever, and Abbott would have been replaced.

Skip, it's not the numbers that are the issue here, and you are banking everything on them alone.
The faceless men would not have come knocking had Rudds policies and implementations had been competent, and Juliar would still be the Deputy.
They don't get rid of winning leaders Skip, because someone doesn't like their style.
The wheel don't turn that way.
The media would not have turned either had Rudd's policies not been so associated with incompetence, waste and mismanagement.
Nor could Abbott have ever been given the airplay had the media believed Rudd knew what he was doing.
