yep - Labor in action -
monster tax increases and our Fed Govt. debt has gone up too -
it's nearly $1.2 trillion now:

Bobby, I think there us an extraneous space " " in your post, thought I'd let you know.

What?

-Labor in action-
-Labor inaction-

I meant what I wrote -   Labor in action -  Labor as they act.

Not acting is also an action.

Nothing is usually the best we can hope a politician does.

But this was action from Labor - not inaction.

I wonder if the Labor voters here would make posts on this thread
to apologise for voting Labor?

Where was the massive tax increase in the last Labor election promises?
What about the millions of immigrants they brought here?

An election is not a blank cheque is it?

You're a liberal voter, apologise for your stupidity.

From your article

Quote:
Although Australians spent 24.9 per cent of their average wage on income tax, data shows it is below the OECD average of 34.8 per cent

You should be thanking the labor party

Especially as the Stage Three tax cuts will reduce the tax paid by many.

We all pay the bloody GST of course.

Nothing confusing about it. The tax system is screwed and favours those not on a wage.

Where else are they gonna get the money to pay for all their flights of fancy?  Not gonna get it from business - so who's left?

Once again - persistent rules on business tax liabilities arose at a time when ONLY the 'better off' could invest in anything more than their own labour in the local baker shop or similar..... only the 'better off' had the vote.... only the 'better off' got to make the rules ...... of COURSE the 'rules' were designed so they would never take it on the chin...

How does a guy - for example - get to invest in AI and become an 'overnight billionaire' - buy the top floor of a high building in Melbadishu to run his Maserati around in - and not pay tax on the income?

Hello? He 'runs at a loss' every year?  Then how come the top floor etc?  Get off the dope....

Let's hear it from the apologists - he pays GST - DID-UMS! - he pays fees and charges - DID-UMS - they are wasted on the collection of fees and charges, zero public benefit .... it costs money to run a business - DID-UMS - it costs money to go to work - i.e. run YOUR business of making money same as him ....  DID-UMS!!!!!!

Tax overhaul is desperately needed... love it or leave it....

So if I earned all my money through a share portfolio, I would not have to pay any income tax?
