Albo gives away $100 million more to Ukraine

We're in $1.2 trillion of Federal Govt debt -
we don't have $100 million to give away -
it will have to be printed by the RBA -
causing more inflation.
Total aid now $1 billion.
Albo is a total idiot.

Australia announces new $100 million military aid package for Ukraine

Australia has announced its renewed support for Ukraine with a new $100 million military aid package.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Richard Marles, announced the package overnight during a brief visit to Ukraine.
"Australia remains committed to supporting Ukraine to resolve the conflict on its terms," Marles said.

"I am pleased to announce an additional $100 million of military assistance, including world leading drone technology, with the support of local Australian defence industry.
"Australia is also providing critical air-to-ground precision munitions and short range air defence systems."
The Albanese Government's support package for the war-torn country includes $50 million in military aid, which includes $30 million towards uncrewed aerial systems and another $15 million for other high priority equipment, such as combat helmets, rigid hull inflatable boats, boots, fire masks and generators.
The other $50 million is earmarked for short range air defence systems and the delivery of air-to-ground precision munitions.

The new package takes Australia's military assistance to $880 million

since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine,
and it brings Australia's overall support for Ukraine to more than

$1 billion.

The Europeans should have joined forces right at the start
in Feb 2022 and kicked the Russians out before they got a foothold.
It is obviously not important to them because they didn't do that.
Why should it be important for us?

NATO was created by 12 countries from Europe and North America on 4 April 1949 -

therefore it had 2022- 1949 = 73 years
to decide what to do if a non NATO member was attacked by
the then Soviet Union or Russia now.
Their decision was to let Russia invade and do almost nothing to interfere
except give Ukraine an insufficient number of high tech weapons -
give them no troops -
not enough activity to kick the Russians out.
That was their decision - sit on their bums and watch -
they have to live with it - that was their poor decision not ours -
why should we pay for their poor decision? -
it's in their backyard not ours.
We have China to worry about here.

Equipment can have its benefits for Australia.
Bomb and rockets have a use by date.
Australian made equipment means Australian jobs.

We get a return on the donation in seeing how our equipment works/ doesn’t in real life as well.
I know I sound hawkish but I’m not actually. Just looking at it realistic.

I believe NATO is profiting in much the same way with the added bonus of seeing exactly what Russia has and how it use’s it.
It might be in NATO advantage too allow the war too drag on forever as it drains Russia thus in turn making NATO country’s more secure.
A weaker Russia is a less dangerous Russia, right?

My village needs govt grants for basic infrastructure

We need stormwater channeling to prevent flooding so we can get out to buy supplies

We need street lighting, footpaths, mobile reception, sealed street roads, a PO mailing box, etc, etc

There's no democracy, there's only LibLab decisions, poor decisions at that, they only do what they want, not what Australia needs
