Mental illness has its limits when it comes to mitigating potential punishment for a crime committed whilst the person is mentally ill. I bet Nugent had enough money to buy whatever medication he needed to alleviate whatever mental illness led to his psychotic attack. And if there were not warning signs in the lead up to the attack, it could be surmised that Nugent had an emotional issue leading to his attack on Helen Haines.

(That's why Democratic Socialism is growing in the US - because the mainsteam 'centre' Dems, like Albo, won't increase taxes on the wealthy...

In this day and age we all have mental issues from worry, chronic pain, any sane person is genuinely pro-environment' (just not their way), because of our demographic (wharte men are back bludgers) we are all excluded from NDIS so they can cater to ailing immigrants of five minutes in a rich manner - run by sheilas you see - no idea other than smothering 'victims' with your money without proper checks and in some cases setting up family members as 'providers' so they all end up in a multi million dollar house and you end up on the beach - I blame affirmative action and feminism - YOU?

I reckon it's time for genuine equal opportunity and one hell of a lot more men back into these jobs... someone who will take real control and offer genuine direction instead of namby-pambying and rorting your way to your fat retirement.

Yes, interesting.

when there was obvious political violence egainst Jews, it was tut-tut or nuffin' to see here and appeasemnt bu the political recognition of the non-existent Palestinian state.

But now a politician is attacked for very likely NON political reasons by a drug addled pro-palestinian far left nutter - and the politician are haveing an instant self-pity session and calling for 'toning down' the political criticism directed at them.

I expect they will use it to control political speech even further.

(not the first time, btw, that a politician has been violently attacked or even killed)
