Walter Mitty:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Mitty

Mitty is a hapless, absent-minded man with a vivid fantasy life. His apparent incompetence and inattention result in him being criticized, mocked, and otherwise treated dismissively. At the same time, Mitty's surroundings trigger him to enter fantasies in which he occupies a radically different social position, where he is assertive and authoritative, exceptionally competent, or formidable.

Mitty is a meek, mild-mannered man with a vivid fantasy life. In a few dozen paragraphs, he imagines himself a wartime pilot, an emergency-room surgeon, and a devil-may-care killer. Although the story has humorous elements, there is a darker and more significant message underlying the text, leading to a more tragic interpretation of the Mitty character. Even in his heroic daydreams, Mitty does not triumph, several fantasies being interrupted before the final one sees Mitty dying bravely in front of a firing squad. In the brief snatches of reality that punctuate Mitty's fantasies, the reader meets well-meaning but insensitive strangers who inadvertently rob Mitty of some of his remaining dignity.

Popular culture
The character's name has come into more general use to refer to an ineffectual dreamer and appears in several dictionaries. The American Heritage Dictionary defines a Walter Mitty as "an ordinary,
often ineffectual person who indulges in fantastic daydreams of personal triumphs".

Getting desperate?
Did the Millennium question hit a nerve?
Must be galling to realise that one has been had.-

What Millennium question?

Are you OK?     Undecided

I think Einy wanted you to call him out on it. So he could bloviate some more. He should be thanking you.
Obviously you’re one of the mislead that think the Millennium started in 2,000 AD.

You are bloviating Einy.

And you are admitting that you believe that you’re in the 27th year of the current millennium, or do you realise that you were led astray and couldn’t count?

I have no idea what you are bloviating about. Is this just to make you feel important, or do you think it is relevant to nuclear power? Is it something to do with your claim we would have an nuclear power plant by 2030?

Obviously you are one of the vast majority of the world population who couldn’t count and thought that the Millennium started on the 1 Jan. 2000.
Pretty stupid.

You really do understand but having celebrated a year early one can understand your reticence.

Not at all, I just find it funny that most of the world’s people were a year out with their celebrations.
