Victorian State Election - November 2026.
Sep 3rd, 2026 at 3:24pm

I thought the Libs would have be an absolute shoe in to oust a tired, corrupt, massively unpopular Labor State Government and have a chance to run the State.    However, I am starting to wonder if they truely stand a chance as they make more and more costly mistakes that Labor jumps on.

Jess Wilson is a fresh faced and new Leader but Her and her team are not taking it to Labor as I thought they would.    Firstly, they earned the term "The Pothole Party" because that is all they concentrated on for the first few weeks - photo ops of sad looking MPs and hopefuls staring into a camera lens and pointing at potholes - trouble was, most were council or federal responsibilities - not State.    Their campaign of billions for potholes was countered by Labor and effectively shut them down.  This week has seen the decision to offload production of trains to Spain, instead of remaining in Bendigo, with jobs losses to follow.  That, coupled with the fact that these new trains will not run on the city loop has been a disaster.

Victoria is actually in surplus with state government spending however, is carrying a large debt from borrowings for the big build and eliminating level crossings - so the Premier has funds to move around in the short term to neuter the LNP highlighting shortfalls as we lead up to November.
I don't know what the outcome will be, as yet it is still too early to call, but the opinion polls are diametrically opposed as to who will win.     One nation are recruiting some good, well educated and fresh aspirants at the moment whilst both Labor and the Libs have the same old faces - some with leadership ambitions and waiting in the wings.

Interesting weeks to come

Neither Labor nor the LNP nor ON will have the required 45 seats to form government.

It will be a minority LNP government with ON support as ON will not support a minority Labor government.

You heard it here first.

There is a long history of ON and the Libs eating each others votes which puts them in the position that they both lose.

After all they are both mostly fighting for the same red neck racist conservative vote. Real people will never vote for either.

If Victorians return a Labor Govt it proves 100% they are nothing but morons.

No Victoria is already on the bottom.

A vote for anyone else besides Labor is a rise upward toward the top.

Your race card & redneck BS goes hand in hand with your Trump Derangement Syndrome.

The left are a global cancer.

Have you ever considered having your self excised & irradiated?

They are morons -
they voted dirty Dan back after what he did to us during Covid.
He closed down the whole State over a couple of Covid cases
like it was the Black Death or something.
Then he had the police using ultra violence on people for sitting
by themselves on a park bench in the sun.
We went though utter madness because of Dan.
Victoria is a place that's always on the edge of insanity.

They don't care about Politics, beyond just acting it up for the Media.
Victorians put Lefty things like Sport as their cultural priority and as we see with the ALP, its much the same at Fed level

So the former Labor voters who handed Secret Harbour to ON are red neck racists? Good to know. Grin
