Trump pledges $5,000 ‘dividend’ to all US adults if the GOP wins the midterms

That would be amazing, but I'm curious. How's the GOP going to win the mid terms?

Where's a prez going to find $1.2 trillion? DOGE saved a mere $200 mil.

And why isn't the House Speaker making this announcement, given it's the role of Congress to fund "dividends".

This promise alone warrants grounds for impeachment, but do you know?

I do feel it's going to cost the GOP even more votes - if it doesn't tank the US bond market, already reeling with news the US owes $40 tril in debt.

Trump is "the greatest President in US history".

He ended at least 8 wars once as well as ending the Iran war 43 times.

Inflation, groceries, and gas prices are at their lowest levels ever: the economy is the "best in the history of our country".

His poll numbers are higher than anyone has ever seen - there has never been a President more popular.

So, why would he need to bribe Americans to vote for his party?

I'm curious.

18 U.S. Code § 597 - Expenditures to influence voting.

Whoever makes or offers to make an expenditure to any person, either to vote or withhold his vote, or to vote for or against any candidate; and

Whoever solicits, accepts, or receives any such expenditure in consideration of his vote or the withholding of his vote—

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if the violation was willful, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

Merely threatening to make it happen is illegal. DL's just offered 250 million eligible voters a bribe.

At a year per charge, that's a maximum of 250 million years in Fort Buttner. If that's not a high crime or misdemeanor, I'm not sure what is.

Then again, the GOP failed to impeach for the first deadly riot in the Capitol in US history, so the Real Americans will need to wait for the new Congress in January 2027.
