Humans burning fossil fuels, and other activities, create the greenhouse effect. Basic chemistry.

Then if it is basic chemistry, show us the formula.

The boiling frog syndrome is a metaphor describing the failure to recognize or react to gradual, incremental changes that eventually lead to catastrophic or irreversible consequences.  It illustrates how individuals or societies may become complacent and adapt to worsening conditions—such as environmental degradation, organisational decline, or personal health issues—until it is too late to act.

And it is bogus.

The year 2024 set a new mean global surface temperature record, signaling an escalation of climate upheaval.

So what has been the effect? You do realise one year is weather, not climate?

From your reference -

"This was likely hotter than the peak of the last interglacial, roughly 125,000 years ago (Gulev et al. 2021, Kaufman and McKay 2022)."

And yet the Holcene optimum was at least as warm as now. Roll Eyes

Do they still use the fossil fuel saubsidies scam, where businesses csn claim business losses? Grin Grin Grin Grin

Ruminant feedback? Oh dear. Methane devolves raidly in the atmosphere, unlike in the lab where its potential is measured in dry air and equal weight of CO2. But CO2 has far mor molecues in the atmospher - 420 ppm to CH4 about 1. Molar weighjt CO2 is 44, CH4 is 16. Now that ois chemistry for you. Wink

And MANY Exxon models predicted warming? So what did the rest project?  And you believe that Exxon scientists knew more about "the science" than climatologists? Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

BTW - what is the source of your graph? It could make a difference. Wink

Perhaps it was from Supran, Rahmsdorf and Oreskes? Grin Grin Grin Grin

Someone got it right this morning... apparently burning Australian gas and coal is destroying the world if burned here - but if exported and burnt it is not destroying the world.

Uranium is only dangerous if used in Australia. Once it’s sent overseas it becomes perfectly safe.

I learnt something interesting the other day.

Vintage "Radioactive Red" Fiesta dinnerware was made using uranium oxide in its glaze. Production of these uniquely vibrant, reddish-orange dishes occurred in two distinct eras before the practice was permanently discontinued in 1972.

...

The manufacturer, The Homer Laughlin China Company, used uranium to achieve a brilliant, bright orange-red hue. Production of this specific glaze spans two vintage windows:

1936–1943 (Natural Uranium): The original formulation incorporated natural uranium oxide. Production halted during World War II when the U.S. government seized control of uranium supplies for the Manhattan Project.

1959–1972 (Depleted Uranium): The company resumed production of the red glaze using depleted uranium. This version emits less alpha radiation than the pre-war formula but remains measurably radioactive.

How many people died of radiation poisoning? The LNT model suggests many.
