I have yet to see a cop midget.
Some cops I've seen looked large enough to be WWE professional wrestlers.   Shocked

Some of the slightly built women in the force when wearing a side arm(a Glock) it's nearly bigger than them. Grin

Criminal incidents on Victoria’s public transport system have risen by almost a fifth to hit a 10-year high, with central Melbourne and the city’s immigrant-dominated outer suburbs the worst affected areas.

Data from Victoria’s Crime Statistics Agency reveals there were 16,373 recorded offences including stabbings and violent assaults across the state’s transport system in 2025 – or a 19% jump on the year prior.

Melbourne’s CBD saw the highest amount of incidents with 2,584 offences, followed by the highly diverse Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Casey, where 42% of the population are foreign-born, with 907 offences, Brimbank (48% foreign born) with 903 offences, Greater Dandenong (63% foreign born) with 854 offences, and Wyndham (48% foreign born) with 772 offences.

Look on the bright side - soon the empty seats will be able to work from home unsupervised etc!!  It's like an episode of Yes Prime Minister....

"I do believe we'll have people work from home!"

"Yes, Prime Minister .. but what about the train drivers and conductors, bus drivers and such - need will drop for those ........ then there are the coffee shops and such - they'll go under and add to the unemployment heap.... major cost to government there that will have to be carried by those paying tax... the Carnaby Street tailors will suffer from lack of patronage from those who can put on trackies and slippers at home... then there are the newspaper boys... nobody getting to the station and buying a paper... be the end of The Times.... the insurance companies will have to adjust their charges with fewer on the roads and on footpaths breaking their toes... the shoe industry will go into catastrophic decline...not to mention the umbrella and raincoat manufacturers .... the motor trades will suffer due to lower revenue for repairs and maintenance and such, not to even mention car sales ... the childcare facilities will all suffer a downturn … the pharmaceutical industry will enter recession from not selling headache cures, and dare I say it, makeup ... it could be a total disaster!”

“Yes... well.... I hadn't thought of all that.... is there more?

“Well - yes, Prime Minister... if two people are both working from home – in each other's pockets twenty four hours a day, the number of disputes will rise... the police will be flooded with trivial complaints about who didn't get the cup of tea … and meantime those forced to work at work – which is what it's called – will be angry and less helpful about actually doing very much.... can't say I blame them given that it costs them an arm and a leg to even come to work while someone sits at home with tea and scones .... and there's no offer on the table to compensate those poor souls... make their pay actually equal...”

“Good God – we might have to re-think this idea...”

“Yes, Prime Minister... we might... and that's not to even mention the pubs and bars on the way home... but there IS the spectre of a higher rate of alcohol consumption in the home while working... which could have many poor outcomes... and let's not forget these things will all have a poor effect on revenue from taxation..”

Today’s Herald-Sun newspaper….about Melbourne being voted most liveable city (coz I’m finding that really and truly hard to believe)

But this cartoon satire hits on what is somewhat truth!

Alleged Police pedos get bail:

https://www.noticer.news/victoria-police-officer-bail-child-sex-offences/

July 9, 2026

The Noticer

A Victoria Police officer has been granted bail despite being charged with child sex offences.

The 19-year-old constable from the Eastern Region, which stretches from Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs to the NSW border, was arrested following an internal investigation, police said on Thursday.

One incident allegedly occurred in November 2025 while the officer was off-duty, and another allegedly occurred in June 2025, prior to him joining Victoria Police.

He was charged with three counts of sexual penetration of a child under 16,
and released on bail to appear before a magistrates’ court at a later date.

Victoria Police routinely provide information on the date a person has been charged, and the date and location of their next court appearance, but have not done so in this case, and have not responded to requests for comment.

In May, a 68-year-old Protective Service Officer was also released on bail after being charged with sexual assault of a child under 16 and possess and produce child abuse material.
