While Soviet authorities deported tens of thousands of Jews to Siberia, central Asia, and other remote areas in the interior of the Soviet Union, most of them managed to survive. After the German attack on the Soviet Union in June 1941, more than a million Soviet Jews fled eastward into the Asian parts of the country, escaping almost certain death. Despite the harsh conditions of the Soviet interior, those who escaped there constituted the largest group of European Jews to survive the Nazi onslaught.

Josh Frydenberg lives it everyday as a Jew.

The truth is, you don't like how Anthony Albanese is being shown to be out of his depth and totally ill prepared.

Why isn't parliament being recalled to pass legislation in relation to hate speech and making it easier to deport extremists? He says because it is complex. The truth is, he has not started anything, even though Jillian Segal's report has been on his desk for six months.

If Anthony Albanese was a real leader, he wouldn't have to worry about Josh Frydenberg's speech yesterday.
