That is not a plot of economic rankings. It even says in the title what it is.

Energy security is economic security.

China buys and burns our coal and gas and sells us solar wind and batteries.

South Australia with no coal or gas now has the dearest power in australia and Australias power prices continue to climb.

Do you think China would be so keen on fossil fuels if renewables were really cheaper ?

After all , they export all the renewable white elephants.

Add in a government that panders to takers and offers energy cash splashes (borrowed cash),
Bottomless NDIS ,child care for all, aged care for all...things the community used to do.

The interest on the debt currently runs at 60 billion a year.

If you look at taxpayers NOT  employed by government ( 6 million of them ) , that's $10,000 of their tax just to service the interest on the debt.

Clearly standards of living are going to drop.

You can't run deficits and money printing in perpetuity without becoming poorer, despite what Chinese AI bots like the great divide post  Roll Eyes

They really are cheaper, regardless of whatever circular backwards logic you are trying to apply here.
