It's pathetic that the Trump administration is simply based on lies, and his supporters don't care.
It really is,
"Harder Daddy!"
His choice, his party, his shutdown.
All because he wants to strip healthcare from 15 million people and blame it on the dems, even after being wared that when those people lose their healthcare, it could result in up to 50,000 preventable deaths per year.
Doesn't care.
Trump simply doesn't care.
Yet his supporters can't lick his boots fast enough.
Illegal invaders should not have blanket health cover paid for by the citizenry.. They should be in the country, let alone be carried by the social security and health system.
But if you think this shutdown is not about the Dems demanding the above, do tell us what it is about. What else do the Dems want that the Republicans are unwilling to give them?
Illegal immigrants NEVER got health coverage. That’s the whole point. It’s not legal, it never was and the Democrats never once asked for it to be. It’s just a blatant lie from Trump and Vance to desperately cover up his shortcomings in negotiations.
Herro?! Herro?!
You see question? It is now even highlighted for the blind.
It has nothing to do with illegal immigrants Frank. That's just a lie you've bought while pleading "Harder Daddy!" to Trump.
It's US citizens, including MAGA voters, who are having their healthcare ripped away by the Big Beautiful Bill.
Rough estimates put it at ~11 million losing coverage due to Medicaid changes, ~4 million from expiring ACA subsidies, plus more from rule changes.
The Democrats wanted to secure funding in the budget to prevent this.
Trump said no, choosing instead to force a government shutdown rather than reverse cuts to Americans' healthcare.
By slashing Medicaid and ACA subsidies, the BBB disproportionately punishes citizens and legal residents who already rely on those programs, while undocumented immigrants remain excluded as before.
A small number of undocumented immigrants may have received stabilising care in ERs under a 2022 Biden guidance clarifying hospitals' EMTALA duties.
But Trump rescinded that in June 2025, including the provision for emergency abortions in certain medical emergencies, even in states with abortion bans.
All told, Trump has been systematically dismantling access to healthcare: removing obligations for hospitals to provide stabilising care to everyone in the US, defunding or restricting access for citizens and legal residents to Medicaid and the ACA, and now willing to shut down the government to ensure they don't get it back.
This is Trump's shutdown.
Anyone who still supports Trump now is either incredibly stupid or a rich bastard.
If you're not sure which you are Frank, check your bank balance, if there are fewer than 8 figures, you're a moron.
