It's a simple matter of basic morality and common sense. An invader cannot take over someone's home, move in, loot its contents, brutalize and imprison the inhabitants
Islam is an invadeer everywhere, from The Atlantic Ocean to India.
(and now the West)
Here we have the old boy, by way of a logical fallacy, saying the state of Israel has a right to take over someone's home, move in, loot its contents, brutalize and imprison the inhabitants because Islam is the invadeer everywhere, from from the Atlantic Ocean to India.
Of course, when we pointed out
Israel is currently destroying Christian towns in Lebanon, he changed the subject, as you do.
FD, is this what you meant when you said trolls take advantage of these debates – effectively taking advantage of people’s ignorance – because they are a shortcut to a heated debate?
Cheers.
Bullshyte - what Christian towns?
Er, every Christian town in south Lebanon, dear.
This guy survived the attack on his town, the Israeli tanks rolling in, shelling his house and troops firing indiscriminately, killing everyone in their path. He was lucky to survive.
In the town of
Nabatiyeh, they decided to take out the paramedics too. MSF medics had to retrieve the bodies of their own colleagues, deliberately targeted while attempting to rescue the civilians Israel had just killed and injured.
It's a bit of a theme. One UN report cites
169 Israeli attacks on healthcare workers and facilities in Lebanon, resulting in 116 deaths.. Not even the Red Cross or Red Crescent are spared. There's evidence they're even more at risk than civilians. The MSF attack was a double-tap drone strike. The IDF waited for the ambos to arrive, and struck the rescuers. The IDF are shooting and bombing clearly-marked ambulances.
I don't know about you, but this is the first invasion I've heard of where the Red Cross are targeted. The Israelis mightn't like Lebs too much, but
foreign medics? The IDF are carrying out a scorched-earth policy in Lebanon, rendering the south uninhabitable. We're not just talking about the destruction of towns and churches, an issue the
Vatican and Orthodox synods have condemned. We're talking about the destruction of significant cultural and
archaeological sites. Israel is currently bombing UNESCO-protected places important to Christians and historians all over the world - Roman and Byzantine ruins, hippodromes, early Christian sites, places mentioned in the Bible.
Israel is doing to south Lebanon what it did in Gaza, systematically erasing an entire history and culture. If you want to call this bullshyte, you're no different to any Holocaust denier.
