The attractive women I have known throughout my teens and adulthood have admitted that they use their looks or physical attributes to get ahead in life. Generally, they keep clean, healthy, and physically fit, and have a good attitude. They will dress normally in most situations outside of the workplace. And they will glam up when they go out to nightclubs or somewhere for social occasions.

The unattractive women have their chain smoking, alcoholic, dress like nothing matters, bogan attitudes. I cannot bother with them.

I stay away from the obvious sluts. And I keep my hopes up with the nicer girls. Obviously, if a 14 y.o. is going to hit on me with a game of "guess my age?" and you will win a prize, she is not going to be worth my time 5 years later as an adult. But that 16 y.o. that showed a lot of promise academically and socially, but I had to stand clear of for obvious reasons, I can get back to her now that she is in her 30s.

Is that directed at me, mothra?

It is not much of a secret that us guys in our 20s and 30s will look at a teenage girl and think "Oh yeah... she will look quite pretty in 10 years time". But we have to keep our distance and watch our tone. And we cannot locker room talk about our feelings about what we think of the young lady, unless we want to risk it getting back to her.

Any girl under the age of 18, I try not to talk to unless I have to. I was out grocery shopping one time, and I looked up from my grocery list to see a 17 y.o. girl looking at me whilst she walked passed. She looked away in embarrassment and then looked back to give me a friendly smile. I stopped in my tracks -- me, a 42 y.o. guy getting embarrassed by a teenage girl flirting with me -- in a grocery store. I think I skipped the muesli and the bread aisle and headed down to the soap aisle for some aftershave. She caught up to me, and I saw her checking me out again via the security monitor.

But then again, being polite can work against guys. I was walking down the hall of the same shopping centre, paying more attention to my phone than to where I was going. I realised that I was walking behind a couple of teenage girls. This time they were probably 13 or 14 years old. They looked at me smirking. Then I stopped there and then. They looked at each other and then ran off down the ramp, near Woolies. Obviously, they were playing. But they made me feel like I was set up to look like a creep.

I look in the mirror and wonder how it was that I got this fat. Then I remember the nights drinking and the lack of exercise.

Being single by choice, I think I deliberately put on the weight through my drinking, just to help convince myself to keep to myself. I should just get healthy and stay single at my age. Just with the recent improvement in health, I am just doing this for myself.

There is no reason to get worked up about the misandry of some in the community and being a victim of it.
