Solved it in three moves today.

MeisterEckhart Gold Member Offline Australian Politics Posts: 10458 Gender:	Re: Wordle Reply #1 - Feb 23^rd, 2022 at 12:47pm Start with AIERY (yes it's word!). 2nd word: MOUNT, SPOUT etc and you've eliminated, or caught, all vowels including the pseudo-vowel 'Y'. 3rd - That's when the work starts. Consonants of interest: T, S, R, G, N and M. Be wary of words reusing letters (e.g. LLAMA, MAGMA).

Got it in 4 today.

If you'd used AIERY then, say, MOUNT, you'd have avoided AVOID as the 3rd choice.

Another rule: never use a plural as a choice. To date I don't think wordle has ever used them.

But I made that mistake in my 3rd choice anyway with SLIPS

Luckily SLIPS gave me 2 greens and and 2 orange, SPILL was then my 4th choice.
