A groundbreaking and proud day for Australia, when Gillard gave her misogyny speech.

Pity it was too late to save her.

In moving the no-confidence motion, Abbott stated that Slipper's texts were sexist and misogynistic and rendered him unfit to serve as speaker, and implied that Gillard was hypocritical in defending Slipper's continuation as speaker. He stated that her government was "only too ready to detect sexism – to detect misogyny, no less – until they find it in one of their own supporters, until they find it in someone upon whom this Prime Minister relies to survive in her job".[7] Abbott stated that every day Gillard supported Slipper was "another day of shame for a government which should already have died of shame"

Woke is anything the right don't like and has become nothing more than a political tool of the right that can be applied against anything. The real meaning in a social sense is awake to certain issues of structural unfairness originally affecting Black Americans but this isn't currently how it is used by the right who apply it to everything including M&M's and Dr Suess brands of beer or Disney.

Yes the right have turned it into a very bad but meaningless joke.

Rubbish.

What the ALP are doing is divisive and dangerous.

Gillard was one of the better performing PM's. How could you criticise Gillard after supporting rubbish like the Howard Abbott or even the later Morrison failures ?

Bring Back Stigma
Without it, we become a shameless society—with some disastrous consequences.

Punishments are ever lighter, excuses ever more acceptable, and all opportunities to condemn or judge are smothered by a haze of political correctness.
To reproach your neighbor is to risk his goodwill; to uphold convention is to expose yourself to mockery from the liberated. And yet the good of society may require that ordinary people take these risks—risks that require courage, justice, and even a touch of humility if they are to be successfully managed.
...
Stigma is not an act of aggression but a sign that we care about our neighbors' lives and actions. It expresses the consciousness of other people, the desire for their good opinion, and the impetus to uphold the social norms that make judgment possible. It is the outward expression of an inner orderliness—and a declaration of faith in human nature.

Your refusal to accept your sigma is very evident, Soren.  I have made you eats your words regarding your Racism, should I waste my time making you eat your Xenophobia as well?  I doubt it would make you change all that much, you're so set if your ways your positively antediluvian in your attitudes.  Tsk, tsk, tsk... Here is an answer I gave elsewhere about the Rise of the LGBTQ Machines - just a little ghost in the machine for yez:-

"There are possibly countless reasons for this. Over-population; playing divide and conquer by constantly finding ‘causes’ for division within our society(ies) of the West; deliberate attack from Other Than The West with the aim of reducing our ‘power’ in all ways; insanity on the part of some (shall we count the ways?); a delusion that somehow all this turmoil will create a ‘better’ society’ - something we have yet to see a glimmer of on the distant horizon.

But many of us are still in the fight…

This Fight started way back in the 1970’s - in the heady days of ‘feminism’ - when countless women were suddenly thrust into the houses of learning and into ‘work’ - and thus was born the enhancement unto nigh total control over our society of ‘social sciences’ - something which women allegedly were somehow ‘better’ at (they’re always ‘better’ than men at everything men created and maintain etc - just ask them!) - then using every cunning trick in the book - whining and complaining about literally every aspect of ‘work’ and ‘education’ and ‘social roles’ etc - they slowly but steadily moved men out of all the top slots - leaving only women nowadays alongside Beta men and not Men. Trump is a shock to them all!

Following on from the ‘success’ of ‘feminism’ in effectively destroying Western society and values……………………. every other group that felt it belonged in some ‘accredited grievance status’ began to use the same tactics - endless whining and complaining about literally everything to do with their petty lives - and thus those groups continue to seek in the West - not ‘equality’ - but POWER and CONTROL over OUR societies. To achieve these things they use abuse, intimidation, false accusations, falsified ‘science’ and knowledge, and endless whining and complaining - whenever one ‘issue’ of theirs is ‘settled’ - they persistently ‘double down’ and extend it or they simply find another. Look at the ‘feminist’ idea of ‘violence against women’ started out as women being actually beaten - and now it has become literally anything a woman wants to complain about… (did-ums!).

EVERYTHING - to suit their ideology and their drive for power in the West - has been perverted into ‘violence’ against them - fitting with the ‘false accusation’ above and such.

You don’t need to look too far to see how very well that fits with the agenda of elites since the beginning of time - those elites can safely ride on the turmoil created by these silly ideologies - while riding above them and US by imposing ‘solutions’ on us all and thus depriving us ALL of genuine equal rights.

You are welcome. For those of you who know not of what I speak - that is why I blame feminism for the downfall of the West, as the very root of the problem and being the ideology that feeds all the other ideologies."
