Hi, lee. Have any useful info on why climate change is such a joke, lee? What's that, lee? You don't? Just some maps provided by Big Oil, lee? That's great, lee. You always have so much to offer, lee.

I've noticed lately that a lot of Australian women can't pronounce 'girls' properly.

They say 'gills' or 'geels'.

Define what "Australian women" are.  Grin

Many Australians sound dreadful - even our news readers on TV.

example the word people.

Instead of saying "peepil" -

they will pronounce it  "poypul".

I remember Julia Gillard used to do that too.

Jane Turner did that when she was doing her Kath Day persona. Not Gillard.

No - at least half the announcers on TV say "poypul".    Grin

I suppose I do remember Gillard saying "poypul" during an interview. I think Dutton is also guilty of doing that, too.

I know I am guilty of saying "foind" instead of "find" sometimes.

It's embarrassing to be Australian.
Those people sound like country hicks yet they
can hold the highest office in the land.    Roll Eyes

Look at Albo - he has a speech impediment.   Shocked

An email pal of mine from America said that she thought "sticky beak" was the most hilarious Australian term she had ever heard. I scratched my head thinking about the innocuousness of the word.

An American came in to my restaurant, some years ago and asked if there was wifi here. I told her that there is at Maccas. She was confused and said "Whuh? What?". I thought calling McDonalds "Maccas" was worldwide.
