Only wage earners pay taxes in Australia.

As you would expect, John is very confused.

Nothing confusing about it. The tax system is screwed and favours those not on a wage.

So if I earned all my money through a share portfolio, I would not have to pay any income tax?

no idea

Yeah I know.

Who is it that you think does not have to pay income tax? Contractors?

contractors, small business owners etc ... workers other than PAYE earners.

Just to clarify, you actually think they pay no income tax?

No, you dumbarse. I think they pay a lot less then they should.

Was it you who said they should be paying tax, even if that would mean their net income goes negative?

Yes, they should pay more tax. And I say that as a small business owner and a beneficiary of the current system.

So you think the tax system should be sending otherwise profitable businesses and contractors bankrupt?

Are you incapable of commenting without pretending someone said something other than what they said? That must be the simpleton in you shining through.

I'm just checking that your position really is as stupid as it seems. Often you start backpedalling. Or carrying on like a toddler who isn't getting what they want.

My position only seems stupid to simpletons

Is there anyone here who thinks John's highlighted position is clever?

Or the claim that "Only wage earners pay taxes in Australia."?

Blame Howard & Costello, idiot!

Easy - I blame them all.... every time I post a learned expose` of the arsery that actually goes on - I have visions of politicians reading it with a dumb-founded look on the face - "What's he talking about here? Nothing wrong with my house portfolio or my massively preferential super for retirement when millions are facing P-T/C and long term negative earnings and Tent Cities, or my shares portfolio... they're holding up fine... just another whining peasant..... should've learned to get on the gravy train... huk, huk."

Little wonder (not Stevie)....

That's true but in this election cycle we can blame Labor -
they're in power - it's their fault.

Labor was elected on Saturday 21 May 2022 -
good grief - it's take them less than 2 years to make a hell of mess of this country.

I think the Governor General needs to sack them all and call for new elections?

I am hoping that a 3rd party can eventually be elected
outside the One Party, 2 branches system we have now.
A party that is not part of the club we have now
with always a Big Brother in charge:
