Spoken like a true survival of the fittest, individual freedom,  free market ideologue.

Deplorable.

Your free market, 'small government'  ideology - currently accepted by all pollies - is THE problem.

Meanwhile of course currency-issuing goverments don't NEED to tax (or borrow)  in order to fund government spending, by definition; it's just an ancient and obsolete convention.

Go back to sleep.

Do you remember the time the CCP thought it would be a great idea to feed the Chinese people rather than letting them feed themselves?

They starved about 50 million of them to death.

As you would expect, John is very confused.

Nothing confusing about it. The tax system is screwed and favours those not on a wage.

So if I earned all my money through a share portfolio, I would not have to pay any income tax?

no idea

Yeah I know.

Who is it that you think does not have to pay income tax? Contractors?

contractors, small business owners etc ... workers other than PAYE earners.

Just to clarify, you actually think they pay no income tax?

I remember the time I realized I was debating a madman with his delusional "individual freedom" ideology.

Of course the first requirement of government is to guarantee the provision of essentials to the population; and - oh dense one - apart from farmers, people can't "feed" themselves[/b] (a lettuce growing  in a pot on the terrace doesn't cut the mustard....)

Goober is an equal opportunity whiner:

1. He whines about the deficit (caused by Howard & Costello paying big tax cuts out of a once-only minerals boom) and

2. He whines because tax paid is the highest or something and then

3. He whines because we pay nowhere near the top amount in income tax

4. He whines because the Stage 3 tax cuts will reduce income tax paid

Will any Labor voters here, ever apologise for the mess we're in?

Will they even explain it?

It's like you take you dog to someone's place and it eats all the biscuits
on the coffee table then does a turd on the floor -
yet you won't even clean it up or apologise.   Roll Eyes
