Bull in history
Feb 27th, 2024 at 3:45pm

What’s your favourite piece of utter bull in history?

Two of my favourites are the Wright brothers being the first to fly a man carrying flying machine.
The other, thanks to a memory jog from Belgarion, is the myth that Lawrence of Arabia and his Arabs captured Damascus in WW I.

Coming close are the Custer Massacre and the myth that the Indians so revered Custer than they didn’t scalp him, they scalped his dead troops and cut open their stomachs, but left him severely alone.

It’s all bunkum they never flew on the day recorded and never contributed much to aviation. The whole story is a gross exaggeration.

Someone was arguing about Israel again elsewhere, saying that an ancient text was not enough to declare ownership..... when I pointed out that any other claim to possession of Judea was purely verbal history, and written superceded that every time (except here, of course - our Ab Origines hold far greater moral rectitude and thus knowledge than we and the rest of the world do), they sulked.

I say 'they' not as a used pronoun, but because this is an entire group of dopey people, mostly kids, who have no idea why they hate everything but know they are right to do so....

The "cherry tree" story is one which involves George Washington
confessing to his father about chopping down a cherry tree with his
newly gifted hatchet.

This incident is often regarded as one of the most significant events
in his life.

However, the story is nothing more than a lie, and the credit goes to
Mason Locke Weems, who fabricated the cherry tree story and added
it to Washington’s biography in 1806.

Such a good Topic to be enjoyed.
Well done Sir Eoin O Fada!  Cool
Hey FD! Why didn't you come up with this? Huh
Eh - waddaya madder wit you? (
*swings hands meatball style like John Smith
).

I know of the Wright Brothers 'Scam' in History.
It's just a great example of MANY HISTORICAL SCAMS
by the people of North America to be honest.
I mean, "C'mon man" (as dopey Joe Biden would say). Undecided
North America's greatest innovation was its Dream Factory of Media Lies and Illusions.
There in, lays the propped up BULLS_HIT of a vast amount of History corrupted by America...
...a History from the outside World that gets a real going over and change to be 'accepted and suited' to American standards... like Mad Max to being the Road Warrior.  Wink
To Dyson Vaccuums being stolen as 'American' completely under the 'Deepest Pocket' truth-telling law.

So with all this said to back up Sir Eoins example of the Wright Bros BS Capitalist Propaganda equivalent of Communist BS Propaganda, etc.

I guess my few picks are:

'White People' to be blamed for Slavery of Negro-Bantu Africans into N.America. Blaming 'Johnny-come-lately' Customers and not the West African 'Dealers' from thousands of years ago. Even Native Amer-Indians 'practiced' Slavery 'before' Europeans turned up to learn such ways. Such Natives 'enjoyed' Black Negro Slaves just as much as Whities. Whities could never penetrate the jungles of West Africa to get Slaves themselves - due to various Tropical complications from Mosquitos to heat, etc.

Spain is the rightful owner of this Region of Sahul.
That's right. They made 'legal' declaration of this Region - long before Britain spat its hands together to claim Australia here and France of Caledonia, etc. The British Claim is - forfeited!  Grin

Thomas Edison & Einstein. Edison had over 50 'innovators' under him and just put his name to their innovations. Einstein also worked in a Patents Office: where his job was to go over and approve all Patents for processing which incorporated a lot of Scientific 'Theories' sent in for him to analyse... and basically 'steal' - much like Musk has learned to do by 'American Standards'. Harold Scruby's AUSFLAG effort a few decades back is an example of this method where people send their designs in which become 'appropriated' by Ausflag Inc for its own use and manipulation automatically and anyone who was dumb enough to send their designs in have no legal bearing of claim.

UFO's, Aliens, etc. Possibly the biggest Scam/BS going around, especially last year (to help distract people away from Biden's BS). Which sums up the entire N.American 'Dream Factory' BS that comes out of there. With 90% of all sightings last year 'proven' to be Hoaxes and the remainder 10% unable to be proven as Hoaxes, but not proven as 'real'. FEAR OF OUTSIDERS is the N.American way and psychosis for their Patriotism. You and I are also 'Austr-Aliens' to them. All just BS manifestation of their 'Psychosis'... as from their innovation of Psychiatry/Psychology (insanity).

...Oceania (1984) Media keeps N.Americans in the Dark.
Just like Religion from the Middle-East, kept Africa in the Dark (continent).
Just as Black Africans were considered Primitive and Stupid.
So are 'Red' Americans (like Trump) considered the same and kept in the 'Dark' by the Media (but not from the true Politics as reintroduced by 'the Union Jack' of Politics  Wink).

That's why you see a lot of Media-Culture Americans going around showing how 'stupid (other) Americans' are.
...all taught to be so by the Media itself.

Anyway - I reckon Moshe and His People wandered for forty days - not forty years... in the wilderness .. that was propaganda to show how tough they and their god were....
