Sorry I didn't realise we were discussing the UK. We are discussing illegal immigration. We have had illegals in recent days. I bet they have no IDs for the same reason illegals flooding into North America and Europe don't. Australia dealt with it under Abbott. None of the democracies have dealt with the large number of illegals entering under false pretences and staying or claiming asylum on bogus grounds and most of whom are not deported even if their asylum claim fails, even if they commit serious crimes. Stopping illegals at entry is one issue. Deporting bogus aslyum claimant and illegal immigrants is another. The international human rights lobby sabotages the latter at every step. They are squealing about the former as well in America and Europe. Australia stared them down, to the envy of Europe and America. You have the right to ask for asylum. You do not have the right to demand permanent resettlement. No country owes you anything except your own. You do not have the right to foist yourself on another country that has rejected your asylum claim. Actually you do, Soren. The hosting country does not have the right to deport you. Sending them back to those countries in NOT refoulment, as they are not fleeing those countries. If signing the refugee convention means ceding the right to deal with lying, cheating chancers than the sooner we unsign the bloody racket of a thing the better. I am not at all surprised that you are fully in favour of ANYTHING that nibbles and undermines Western democracies.
