the spread of the indo europeans

i've been doing some reading on the proto indo europeans lately

these ancient (though ultimately hypothesed) people or collection of peoples were perhaps the most successful and important in all human history

over 50% of people in the world today now speak a language that ultimately derived from their own, which spread due to their inexorable conquest of eurasia over time

now this was a culture with a real legacy

Well well well....I have to admit : that’s an incredible link Mr Setanta. I’ve been quietly reading through the various chapters here.

Note : I am familiar with the subject matter in your link as I studied History and Anthropology at Uni.

It would be so cool if we had a History sub forum where we could chat about these types of topics in more depth. My fascination with History (and the invention of a time machine that could help me travel back in time lol) has been a life long pursuit.
