Read a Sci-Fi long ago that showed Humanity 'evolving' biologically via the influence of Performance Enhancers (like 'Spice' in F.Herbert's Dune series).
By the 3rd generation of these Roid, etc users breeding the effects into their offspring, the chemicals lose their 'detrimental' effect of negative side-effects and the human body incorporates it as an evolutionary adaption.
Humans being able to naturally 'hibernate' due to anti-freeze in bloodstream, deal with Zero-Gravity longer, live underwater and many other now attainable variants in 'specialised' evolutionary adaptions.
Enhanced hearing, seeing like a Mantis Shrimp in many levels, etc.
...all from Performance Enhancers used through the generations specifically breeding for that specific 'performance' to be enhanced.

I have no doubt that one day, maybe Australia (the most 'virulent' country in the world) even? Will just pump out the 'freedom' to Biologically do what they like! Just look at the USA with its 'test-dummy' children being subjected to hormonal sex-change manipulations by 'Science'.

Science: Just because it can. Does it mean it should?

That's not how evolution works.

Evolution adapts to the 'environment' and if the environment of humans is the intake of performance enhancing 'chemicals', then the body must adapt and will adapt with each knew generation made under the influence of it in the human body.

These chemicals tend to have as many or more adverse results as positive. When evolution does not work it leads to extinction.

Given that in this case one of the side effects is on reproductive systems this is the more probable outcome were anyone ever stupid enough to try it.

It is a bad look on either sex. Even when in full training I never went for bulk. The gorilla walk never appealed to me.

Blessing Okagbare drops her hair in the Women's Long jump -

IAAF Diamond League Oslo 2017

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blessing_Okagbare

Following a hearing at the Athletics Integrity Unit that found her to have taken both human growth hormone and EPO over an extended period, and to have failed to cooperate with the investigation, Okagbare was banned for ten years, effectively ending her athletics career in disgrace.[5] On 23 June 2022, the AIU announced that Okagbare's ban had been extended by a year for further anti-doping offences.

Steroids have their place in medical & veterinary applications.

Not in sport as an enhancer.

As has been demonstrated over the years when used by competitive humans it gets abused and causes more harm than good.

The poll question needs to be more specific.

Even too many oranges can kill you.
Too much of a good thing, can be bad for you.

Don't know if its true?
But it was common knowledge in the Sydney Hospital scene that a Junkie on ICE got ballistically violent and some male Nurse bloke just jabbed himself with a shot of Adrenalin and basically pulverised the violent junkie into submission and restraint.  Grin

It was only the other day that I was on my way out of the shopping centre, when I saw some person I had not seen in about 25 years. Twenty-five years ago, I had a free month's membership to the CQ University gym. Taking a break at the gym, I watched some 40y.o. guy use the bench press. He was going to do reps on something like 100kg+. His arms were massive. And it was obvious that he did not miss leg day. But, using a spotter, he did about 20 repetitions on what looked to be about 100kg worth of weight.

The other day, he walked in to the shopping centre and he still had those bulky arms. Except, it looked like he only did the occasional work out. His arms looked somewhat flabby muscular. I get the feeling he was on steroids back in his day. But he is no longer using enhancements, and his body has reverted back to how he would look doing bodybuilding drug free.

I eat about 2 oranges per night nearly every night. It is not bad for you. But, if you eat a lot of oranges, you can end up with diarrhoea and other nausea. I sit in bed watching tv series on my bedroom television. Normally, I would eat 2 oranges and something else. Then I would have a bowl of cereal. Afterwards, I would have about 4 boiled eggs. I would wash the eggs down with a large glass mug of juice with chia seeds. You could imagine that by the next morning, I do not need coffee to get me going.
