You live 3 degrees north of where he lives. And you live in or near Melbourne where the coast is exposed to the conditions of Arctic weather moreso than Monk. I have to live with these springtime conditions of mild maximums and mild minimums. Whereas you have to put up with chilly, rainy weather where the cloud cover does not give you much protection from the cold.

Who the hell cares if you live in the roaring 40s or not? You live south of 35 degrees south. That is bad enough, in terms of weather. South of 35°S in Australia is associated with cold winters. You are not exempt from Antarctic influence.

Not where I live, that is more Melbourne.

That snow in November was not in Hobart but up Mt Wellington, probably 400m above sea level. Summer snow in alpine regions is not rare, Dumbyne certainly found enough occasions.

Well ... we’ve been up since 6.30 am and it was NOT too cold today (thank God). The sun is shining and at 9 am I’ll be ready to hang out my 1st load of washing.

Note : I always get stuck into my chores nice and early and I try and wash/hang out my biggest load of washing FIRST 👈 that means I can get the bulk of my washing inside to fold and/or iron earlier IN CASE the weather changes/I get caught up with other issues.

Dinner tonight is sorted. Last night before jumping into bed I took out 2 frozen chooks (I bought these on sale last week for a mid week menu option) and prepped ie marinaded them. I’ve got those in the oven side by side in a deep oven pan surrounded by boiling water plus extra virgin olive oil and covered securely with alfoil.  Under that in the lower shelf and in a covered alfoil oven pan I’ve got potatoes cut up into quarters along with pumpkin pieces. I’ll boil up the peas separately and throw some fresh mint from my garden in that.

Anyway ... my point (I guess) is this : A baked dinner 👉 a warm oven 👉 a warm kitchen 👉 takes the chill out of the house ✅
